The Opportunity We’re looking for a Preconstruction Manager to join Tilbury Douglas Engineering (TDE), supporting our South Wales & Bristol business. Reporting to the Regional Pre-Construction Director, the Preconstruction Manager will lead client development, bid coordination, and proposal delivery across the region. This Preconstruction Manager role focuses on building strong client relationships, developing new opportunities, and securing profitable work with both existing and new customers. Based from our Swansea office, the role offers hybrid working and regional travel. What you’ll be doing • Develop and manage a strong pipeline of opportunities with clients, contractors, consultants, and key stakeholders., • Build and maintain strategic client relationships through networking, meetings, and business development activities., • Coordinate high-quality tender submissions and support bid presentations, negotiations, and settlements., • Work closely with estimating, design, and pre-construction teams to deliver best-in-class proposals., • Monitor CRM systems, reporting, customer feedback, and market opportunities to drive growth. What we’re looking for The successful Preconstruction Manager will have experience in business development, customer management, and bid coordination within construction or engineering. Strong communication, negotiation, and organisational skills are essential, along with a proactive and commercially focused approach.
