As part of the Axis CLC group, backed by over 110 years of combined experience across the organisation, we offer responsive repairs, planned maintenance, compliance, decarbonisation and refurbishment solutions nationwide.\n\nCLC is delivering a long-term programme of planned refurbishment works on behalf of Norwich City Council, working across occupied residential properties. We’re looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join the core management team responsible for the successful delivery of this programme.\n\nThe Role\n\nThis role offers continuity of workload, long-term client engagement and the opportunity to lead multiple workstreams within a structured, framework-driven environment.\n\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\n\nManaging the delivery of multiple planned refurbishment workstreams, with individual project values up to £3m\n\t\nEnsuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to agreed quality standards\n\t\nLeading, supporting and developing site management, supervisory and resident liaison teams\n\t\nMaintaining strong working relationships with Norwich City Council representatives and internal stakeholders\n\t\nAttending progress meetings and undertaking site visits as required\n\t\nOverseeing monthly valuations, variations, cost reporting and commercial performance\n\t\nSupporting the preparation of estimates, tenders and forward programmes\n\t\nEnsuring full compliance with health & safety, statutory and contractual requirements\n\t\nEnsuring accurate contract documentation, reporting and governance processes are maintained\n\nAbout You\n\nPrevious experience in a similar role\n\t\nExtensive experience working as a Contracts Manager/Project Manager on a variety of projects ranging in value up to £3m\n\t\nExperience in contract administration, planning, estimating, tender processes, health & safety and staff management\n\t\nAbility to build good working relationships and work to tight deadlines\n\t\nProficient in Microsoft packages\n\t\nExperience of delivering planned works within occupied environments\n\t\nCity and Guilds in a construction trade\n\t\nA DBS check will be required for this role.\n\nWhat We Offer\n\nSalary up to £50,000, plus performance related bonus\n\t\nCar allowance\n\t\nBonus scheme (eligible after 1 years’ service)\n\t\nPension scheme and life assurance\n\t\n25 days’ holiday + bank holidays\n\t\nPerkbox (discounts, perks & wellbeing offers)\n\t\n1 paid volunteer day\n\t\n£2000 refer-a-friend bonus after the referee passes probation\n\t\nOpportunities for development and progression across Axis CLC\n\nWhy Axis CLC\n\nJoining Axis CLC means being part of a national team delivering essential services across housing, education, healthcare, defence and commercial property.
