Job Description An established, award-winning architecture and building consultancy is seeking a Senior Architectural Technologist to join its creative and friendly team based in Shrewsbury. The Role As a Senior Technologist, you will be responsible for the day-to-day technical delivery of projects, primarily through production information and site stages. Working under the supervision of a Project Director, you will lead the coordination and delivery of detailed technical information while supporting junior team members.This role would suit a technically confident individual who enjoys responsibility, problem-solving and working on complex projects with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities • Lead day-to-day job running during production and construction stages, • Produce high-quality working drawing packages with minimal supervision, • Coordinate and manage detailed design information, • Ensure compliance with design, legal, statutory and professional requirements, • Advise on building regulations, environmental requirements and materials, • Maintain strong awareness of current and emerging fire regulations, • Carry out Designer Risk Assessments (CDM), • Liaise with consultants, statutory bodies and approval authorities, • Disseminate information clearly to internal team members, • Prepare documentation for statutory and local authority submissions, • Deliver projects using Revit Level 2 BIM processes, • Provide COBie data where required, • Source technical information and ensure buildability compliance, • Carry out health and safety risk assessments You will be a highly experienced Technologist with a structured and methodical approach, able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a wider project team.Skills and Experience Required • Relevant qualification (Degree, HNC/HND or BTEC), • Minimum of 10 years' post-qualification experience as an Architectural Technician, • Demonstrable experience within healthcare, DfE education and/or high-density residential sectors, • Highly proficient in Revit, used consistently as a primary delivery tool, • Expert knowledge of UK construction methods and Building Regulations, • Competitive salary dependent on experience, • 37-hour working week with hybrid working, • 25 days annual leave plus public holidays (increasing with service), • Support with career progression and further education, • Paid professional memberships, • Health cash plan, • Critical illness cover, • Life assurance scheme, • Discretionary bonus scheme
