    Uptown Stores Ltd is looking for a motivated and commercially focused Marketing Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching market trends, analysing customer behaviour and evaluating marketing and sales performance to support the company's business growth and commercial objectives. The role requires a strong analytical approach to identify market opportunities, understand customer needs and provide practical recommendations to management for improving marketing activities, customer engagement and overall business performance. Key Responsibilities Conduct market research to identify customer trends, purchasing behaviour, market opportunities and changes in consumer demand. Collect, analyse and interpret marketing, sales and customer data to support business and marketing decisions. Research competitors, pricing, promotions and market developments to identify opportunities for business growth. Monitor and evaluate the performance of marketing campaigns and promotional activities. Analyse customer demographics, preferences and buying patterns to support targeted marketing strategies. Prepare regular marketing reports, performance summaries and commercial recommendations for management. Evaluate the effectiveness of existing marketing strategies and recommend improvements based on research findings and performance data. Identify opportunities to improve customer acquisition, engagement, retention and overall marketing performance. Support the development and implementation of marketing campaigns across online and offline channels. Analyse website, social media and digital marketing performance using appropriate analytical tools. Work closely with management to develop data-driven marketing plans aligned with the company's commercial objectives. Monitor emerging market and consumer trends and advise management on potential opportunities and risks. Skills & Experience Degree or equivalent qualification in Marketing, Business, Market Research, Data Analytics or a related field is desirable. Previous experience in marketing analysis, market research or a similar analytical role. Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyse data and convert findings into practical business recommendations. Good understanding of marketing principles, consumer behaviour and market research techniques. Experience with digital marketing and analytical/reporting tools would be advantageous. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
