New Equipment Engineer Job - Middlesex An exciting opportunity has arisen in Middlesex for an experienced Equipment Maintenance Engineer to join a highly skilled Technical Services function supporting complex manufacturing and test environments. Key Duties and Responsibilities The Equipment Maintenance Engineer will: • Carry out repairs, improvements, and de-risking activities on manufacturing and test equipment., • Support engineering programmes addressing obsolescence, unreliability, and process risk., • Contribute to the upgrade, refurbishment, and replacement of complex equipment including vacuum systems, high-voltage systems, RF systems, scientific furnaces, thin-film coating systems, and control hardware., • Work closely with multi-disciplinary engineering teams and external contractors to ensure work is delivered safely, on time, and to specification., • Assist with technical specifications, supplier evaluations, and contractor proposals. Experience and Technical Background The successful Equipment Maintenance Engineer will demonstrate strong practical and technical experience in several of the following areas: • High-risk systems such as high voltage, high energy, vacuum, plasma, RF, and complex control systems., • Engineering support within manufacturing, electronics, or advanced technology environments., • Capital equipment upgrades, lifecycle planning, and commissioning activities., • Risk assessments and health and safety compliance. Personal Attributes The Equipment Maintenance Engineer will bring: • A hands-on approach with sound engineering judgement and attention to detail., • The ability to analyse complex problems and propose practical, long-term solutions. Qualifications • Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline., • HNC/HND or military engineering qualifications will be considered with substantial relevant experience.
