This is a high-impact leadership opportunity within the EMEA Operations team, owning planning and supply for approximately 50% of regional volume. The Opportunity As Director Planning & Supply, you will lead the Demand Planning, Supply Planning and S&OP agenda across a major EMEA region. You’ll drive world-class service performance while optimising cost, inventory, and network efficiency all within a fast-moving, multinational FMCG environment. This role blends strategic vision (3-year planning horizon) with operational excellence (weekly execution cadence), leading a high-performing team of 6–9 planning professionals. Occasional international travel required. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership • Define and implement a rolling 3-year planning strategy to enable growth across volume, customers and markets., • Lead and evolve the regional S&OP process with a 12-month rolling horizon., • Oversee 27+ month rolling forecasts by SKU and market., • Own forecast accuracy, bias management and reporting vs budget, prior year and prior iterations., • Deliver 0–13 week detailed supply planning and 4–12+ month capacity planning., • Optimise sourcing, smoothing and phasing of manufacturing volumes., • Maintain near 100% finished goods availability while minimising waste and working capital., • Lead monthly S&OP forums across customer groups., • Manage KPIs including OTIF, forecast accuracy, supply accuracy, SLOBS, stock days cover., • Act as the key planning interface with:, • Commercial teams, • Bottlers and co-packers, • Suppliers and vendors, • Lead, coach and develop a team of 6–9 planners., • Set clear objectives aligned to business growth., • Build capability, succession plans and high-performance standards., • Drive a culture of accountability, engagement and continuous improvement. Experience & Expertise You will bring: • 5+ years leading FMCG planning functions (Demand, Supply, S&OP, MRP)., • Multi-country EMEA experience across complex retail and contract manufacturing environments., • Proven optimisation of supply networks and landed cost models., • Strong collaboration with customers and suppliers including EDI/system integration., • 3+ years leading and developing high-performing teams., • Advanced hands-on experience with:, • SAP APO, • BW/HANA, • Power BI, • Advanced Excel & data analytics tools The Person You are: • Commercially sharp and analytically strong — able to translate numbers into business insight., • Energetic, resilient and positively dissatisfied with the status quo., • A natural communicator — equally effective with junior planners and senior executives., • Structured and process-driven, yet agile in a dynamic growth environment., • Motivated by team success over personal status., • Comfortable working across time zones.
