    We are looking for an experienced Site Engineer / Construction Manager to support and help manage an 8-flat residential development in Worcester Park. The groundworks and foundations have been completed, and the project is now moving into the next phase of works, including steelwork installation followed by block and beam flooring and superstructure works. We need someone practical and experienced who can take ownership of the site measurement, setting out, coordination and day-to-day management of this stage of the project. Key Responsibilities • Check and verify site measurements against structural and architectural drawings, • Set out and confirm positions, levels and dimensions for the steelwork, • Liaise with the structural engineer, steel fabricator, beam and block supplier, building control and contractors, • Identify and report any discrepancies between drawings and the actual site conditions, • Help coordinate and manage the next construction phase from steelwork through to floor installation and follow-on works, • Ensure works are carried out accurately, safely and in the correct sequence, • Oversee quality control on site, • Assist with programme planning and keeping the project moving, • Provide practical site-based solutions and recommendations where issues arise Requirements • Proven experience in residential construction projects, • Strong experience with setting out, site measurement and reading structural/architectural drawings, • Experience with steel frame / structural steelwork and beam and block flooring, • Ability to independently verify dimensions and levels on site, • Good communication and coordination skills, • Hands-on, proactive and commercially aware, • Own setting out equipment / access to surveying equipment is an advantage, • Ability to start quickly Ideal Candidate The ideal person will be someone who has worked on similar residential developments and is confident taking responsibility for: • checking dimensions on site, • managing the interface between the engineer, steel company and builders, • helping move the project forward without constant hand-holding
