Position Overview We are seeking a technically accomplished and highly client-focussed Technical Project Manager to lead the design, planning, and onsite execution of our creative event productions. This role is responsible for developing integrated technical solutions across lighting, audio, video, rigging, staging, and power—and ensuring these are delivered flawlessly in line with client expectations, creative direction, and venue regulations. As a key client-facing role, you’ll act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the project lifecycle—communicating clearly and confidently with clients, venue teams, and senior stakeholders. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: • Translate client briefs and creative direction into practical, high-quality technical plans., • Attend client meetings and planning calls, providing confident and clear technical guidance., • Act as a responsive and professional point of contact for clients, venues, and partners throughout planning and delivery., • Conduct thorough site assessments to scope infrastructure, rigging, power, and access requirements., • Identify when specialist technical expertise is required and engage appropriate freelance expertise, subcontractors, or internal specialists to support particularly complex elements of a project., • Produce and maintain Vectorworks drawings, kit lists, and technical documentation., • Collaborate with our partner equipment supplier to understand in-house kit capabilities and prioritise its use in technical designs where aligned with the brief., • Plan ahead with the supplier to confirm availability of key equipment and identify sub-hire needs early, ensuring cost-efficiency and smooth delivery., • Maintain key project management systems with up-to-date information to support planning and visibility across internal teams and partner suppliers., • Brief crew and subcontractors clearly, and oversee on-site delivery to ensure adherence to safety, conduct, cleanliness, and venue expectations., • Lead technical teams during install and live periods, troubleshooting issues calmly and efficiently., • Ensure sustainability, efficiency, and Wise Productions’ quality standards are maintained throughout., • Debrief projects with internal teams to support continuous improvement in technical delivery.
