Working for this well-established mechanical component distributor as a Trade Counter Assistant, you’ll provide day-day support across the trade counter and branch, ensuring customer requests are fulfilled and satisfaction is kept high. Salary – Up to £26,000 Per Annum + Callout Bonus + Benefits Location – Southampton Role Type – Full time, permanent role. This will see you taking orders down and filling in picking slips to be given to the warehouse so that your colleagues can pick, pack and ship out the delivery to the customer. There will also be a face-to-face element of the role as there is a trade counter within the branch that you will also service customers for. These will usually be small batch or individual items that you’ll retrieve from the warehouse for them. You’ll also ensure it’s kept stocked up and looking presentable. There will very occasionally be a need for you to drive and deliver specific parts to customers so a full valid UK driving license is required for this position. The call out requirement is rare but does require your availability over the weekend and bank holidays if it falls on those days. This is on a rota basis and a bonus is payable for each callout. What we are offering Panel Beaters: • Full Time / Permanent., • Salary - £40,000 - £55,000 (Dependant on Experience/Qualifications), • Fantastic Bonus Scheme (OTE £60k+), • Monday – Friday (8am-5:30pm), • 1 in 4 Saturdays on an as and when need basis Key Tasks of a Panel Beater: • Finishing the repair in a way that matches the rest of the bodywork or preparing the surface for a paint sprayer., • Mending rusted parts of a vehicle’s bodywork., • Replacement of panels., • Panel Repairs (Straightening and filling), • Body Alignment, • Welding ARC, MIG, TIG and bonding, • Panel Beating (Major or Minor damage repair), • Jig Work, • Filler Work, • Pin pulling, • Removing any dents in panels., • Repairing minor scratches or making replacement panels. Qualifications needed for a Panel Beater • NVQ/IMI/City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Panel Beating or be time severed with over 5 years of experience., • Hold a current valid driving licence, • Previous experience within an accident repair centre essential.
