You’ll be part of a team producing precision components used in a very complex device designed to save lives.\n\nThese components are produced on highly advanced CNC machines and you will be responsible for their preparation before the anodising, plating and painting processes\n\nYou’ll be running a series of linishing, rumbling and vibrating deburring machines, degreasing, anodising and polishing, checking components against engineering drawings and then transfering the components to the anodising department\n\nSome components require masking to protect surfaces from the chemicals used\n\nYou’ll need commercial experience in abrasive cleaning, deburring, degreasing, demonstrating safety knowledge in the handling of hazardous chemicals\n\nThere’s lot of available overtime on 2 shifts; 8am to 4.45pm Monday to Friday OR a rotating early 6am-2pm and 1.45pm-10pm shift pattern if preferred (the shift option comes with a 22.5% pay uplift) in this very clean and modern factory\n\nCV not ready? This role would suit someone with hands‑on experience in anodising, rumbling / vibratory finishing, or precision masking. You’ll start in the area you already know and receive structured cross‑training into the other finishing processes over time. The work involves small, detailed metallic components and is well suited to someone from a manufacturing or engineering background who values accuracy, consistency and long‑term progression in a stable environment. The role You’ll initially work in your strongest skill area, with further training provided as you develop into a multi‑skilled finisher. Depending on your background, duties may include: If you join with anodising experience Operating manual or automated anodising lines Jigging, masking and plugging components prior to processing Inspecting finished surfaces to aerospace quality standards Working with process chemicals to defined specifications If you join with rumbling experience Operating vibratory finishing and barrel tumbling equipment Preparing surfaces ahead of anodising or passivation Masking critical features such as bores, slots and edges Deburring and finishing components to tight tolerances If you join with masking experience Applying tapes, plugs and bungs to intricate components Unmasking parts and carrying out basic visual checks Working with small, detailed parts requiring good dexterity Across all areas, you’ll work from engineering drawings and follow strict quality and safety processes on safety‑critical aerospace components. What you’ll need Manufacturing or engineering background (essential) Competence in at least one of anodising, rumbling, or precision masking Strong attention to detail and good manual dexterity Understanding of health & safety and COSHH requirements Ability to work double day shifts Experience with process chemicals or metal finishing techniques is useful, but not essential if you have a solid manufacturing foundation.
