Key Responsibilities • Prepare, cook and present dishes to company specifications., • Maintain consistently high standards of food quality and presentation., • Ensure all food is prepared safely and in accordance with food hygiene regulations., • Manage stock effectively, including ordering, rotation and minimising waste., • Monitor portion control to maximise GP while maintaining quality., • Keep the kitchen clean, organised and fully compliant at all times., • Complete all daily, weekly and monthly food safety documentation., • Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining quality., • Support the development of seasonal menus and specials where required., • Ensure all equipment is cleaned, maintained and reported if faulty., • Work closely with front-of-house teams to deliver outstanding customer service., • Train and support junior kitchen team members where appropriate., • Follow all company policies, health & safety procedures and allergen legislation. Skills & Experience • Previous experience working as a chef in a busy pub, restaurant or hospitality environment., • Excellent organisational and time management skills., • Ability to work calmly under pressure., • Strong understanding of food hygiene and HACCP procedures., • Knowledge of allergen legislation., • Team player with a positive attitude., • Flexible to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Essential Requirements • Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene (preferred)., • Right to work in the UK., • Passion for producing quality food., • Excellent communication skills., • High standards of cleanliness and attention to detail.
