Family Service Worker Location: Cheshire East (Borough-wide) Reports to: Family Service Manager The Role Are you dedicated to making a tangible difference in the lives of children and families? We are looking for a Family Service Worker to deliver evidence-based programmes and preventative services across the 0-19 age continuum . You will work in partnership across Childrens Services to identify needs early, providing holistic assessments and tailored support plans to empower families . Principal Responsibilities Deliver Interventions: Plan and review a range of evidence-based programmes for families at times and locations that meet their needs . Partnership Working: Collaborate with other agencies to ensure services are targeted, coordinated, and effective . Assess & Support: Undertake holistic family assessments, prioritizing "vulnerable" or harder-to-reach families . Safeguarding: Actively monitor family situations and escalate any safeguarding issues immediately . Record Keeping: Maintain accurate data and reporting systems to facilitate a needs-led approach to service delivery . About You Essential Qualifications & Experience: NVQ Level 3 in Childcare (or equivalent, e.g., BTEC Nursery Nursing) . GCSE English and Maths (Grade A-C) . Experience in outcome-focused interventions and multi-agency assessments (e.g., CAF) . Proven ability to work 1-to-1 in family homes or within group-work settings . Skills & Attributes: Communication: Ability to exchange complex or sensitive information with a range of audiences . Resilience: Capacity to handle emotionally demanding information and challenging behavior professionally . ICT Proficient: Skilled in Microsoft Office and database management . Flexibility: Willingness to work planned evenings/weekends and travel throughout the borough (Full Driving Licence and access to a vehicle required) . Why Join Us?
