Electrical & Instrumentation Manager Engineering Department An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an Engineering Department as the lead of highly skilled Electrical and Instrumentation teams within a lower-tier COMAH facility. We are seeking an experienced and qualified Electrical & Instrumentation Manager for an immediate start. Key Duties and Responsibilities • Overall responsibility for the management of the Electrical & Instrumentation departments, including a team of 14 engineers, as well as external contractors as required., • Project delivery responsibility, including the design, specification, and installation of all electrical and instrumentation equipment for capital and maintenance projects, ensuring expenditure is controlled within authorised budgets., • Full accountability for Electrical & Instrumentation maintenance operations, including the provision, operation, and continuous development of maintenance systems., • Safety, Health & Environmental leadership: promoting and maintaining a strong safety culture, ensuring full compliance with all legal and statutory requirements, as well as internal rules and procedures., • Minimum HNC in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or Instrumentation & Control (degree-level qualification desirable)., • At least 10 years of post-qualification practical experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or management role, gained within an instrumentation and control environment., • Expert-level experience in PLC and HMI programming, ideally including RSLogix 500, Studio 5000, and FactoryTalk View., • Strong understanding of ATEX regulations and hazardous area classification., • Good understanding of functional safety in an industrial process plant environment., • Ability to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously and adapt to changing operational priorities., • Proficient in the use of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)., • Excellent personnel and people management skills., • Competitive and negotiable salary., • 25 days’ annual leave plus all UK bank holidays., • 40-hour working week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm, with a 30-minute lunch break., • Paid sickness scheme., • Life assurance., • Access to a stakeholder pension scheme.
