This is a great opportunity to join a supportive team where youll take ownership of a varied client portfolio, producing high-quality accounts and supporting clients with day-to-day queries, helping deliver an excellent service year-round. What the Accounts Senior job involves Working as part of an experienced accounts team, you will be responsible for preparing accounts and supporting the wider practice with a range of duties, including: • Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, • Producing and reviewing management accounts (where required), • Preparing basic corporation tax computations and supporting information (depending on experience), • Completing VAT returns and liaising with clients to resolve queries, • Assisting with bookkeeping and ensuring records are accurate and up to date, • Communicating with clients via phone/email to gather information and provide updates, • Supporting and mentoring junior team members (Accounts Senior level), • Previous experience in an accountancy practice at a Senior or Semi Senior level, • A solid understanding of preparing accounts for a range of business types, • Confident using accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage), • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work, • Strong communication skills and a client-service mindset, • This is a fulltime position working 37.5 hours per week, • 5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays, • Car parking is available, • Discretionary annual bonus, • Easily accessible on public transport Due to the volume of applications we receive if you have not heard from us within 2 weeks, please assume you have not been short listed for this particular role.
