This role is open to both mid-level and senior applicants, depending on experience. Senior-level candidates will typically have 5+ years experience and be comfortable running bids end-to-end. This is a hybrid role based from Oldham, with two days working from home per week after an initial induction period. As an Assembly Operative, Your Role Will Involve: Assembling mechanical and electrical sub-assemblies Fitting and mounting components onto sub-assemblies Conducting bench work and electrical function testing Performing in-process inspections of sub-assemblies using drawings and visual aids Using handheld tools such as verniers, torque wrenches, and the new Cleco system Working across various stations with varying levels of complexity Following industrial-standard drawings and working instructions We’d Love You to Have: Previous experience in mechanical assembly Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Strong problem-solving and fault diagnosis skills Experience with volume assembly processes A positive, “can-do” attitude and excellent work ethic Comfortable using hand tools and interpreting diagrams/diagrams A keen eye for detail—checking your work thoroughly as you go An understanding of tool and process maintenance Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset What You’ll Get in Return: Competitive pay of £13.14 per hour Temp-to-perm opportunity with bonuses once permanent Monday to Thursday: 07:00 - 15:30, and 13:00 on Fridays Free on-site parking Access to canteen and kitchen facilities A friendly and supportive working environment This is an immediate start opportunity, and we’re looking for someone who’s eager to get started. The Quality Engineer role overview: The purpose of the role is to support the business drive towards achieving zero production product quality issues and zero customer complaints for production quality issues Your Role as a Quality Engineer: Investigate and analyse product non-conformance data and drive problem-solving activities with the Production, Production Engineering, and CI departments.
