Our client is looking for a motivated service desk engineer looking to grow their career. Experience Required: • 1–2 years of experience in user desktop support with strong technical capabilities in this area., • This experience should either be within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment or involve full IT responsibility in a small business setting Key Technical Skills: • Practical experience supporting Windows desktops, including building PCs and troubleshooting issues related to operating systems, drivers, and software., • Proficiency in supporting all versions of Microsoft Office, resolving a range of user-related issues., • Experience with server administration tasks, such as managing Active Directory, applying group policies, and resolving login issues, including those related to remote access., • Administration of Microsoft 365 services (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive), including handling mailbox limits, shared mailboxes, and file/folder permissions., • Support for mobile email, including setup and sync troubleshooting for mailboxes on smartphones., • Ability to work independently, with a strong eye for detail and documentation. Must understand how to appropriately engage with users at varying levels of seniority and effectively prioritize tasks., • Basic scripting abilities, particularly with PowerShell or batch files., • Experience configuring and troubleshooting firewalls, ADSL routers, and VPN clients., • Completion of at least one Microsoft certification exam., • Familiarity with Apple Mac systems., • Knowledge of virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V or VMware., • Experience in building and setting up Windows Servers.
