The Role As a Host/ess, you will be the first and last point of contact for our guests and play a key role in creating a warm and memorable dining experience. You will be responsible for welcoming guests, managing reservations and table allocations, supporting the smooth flow of service, and ensuring every guest receives the highest level of hospitality from the moment they arrive. Key Responsibilities • Welcome and greet guests warmly and professionally, • Manage reservations, guest enquiries, and table allocations efficiently, • Coordinate with restaurant management and the floor team to ensure a smooth flow of service, • Escort guests to their tables and provide a polished and friendly introduction to the restaurant, • Maintain excellent knowledge of reservations, VIP guests, special occasions, and guest preferences, • Answer telephone, email, and in-person enquiries in a professional manner, • Manage waiting guests and communicate expected waiting times clearly, • Maintain the reception and entrance area to a high standard at all times, • Build positive relationships with guests and help create a personalised dining experience, • Handle guest requests and feedback professionally and efficiently, • Support the wider front-of-house team when required, • Maintain and follow The Sleff Group's service and presentation standards About You • Previous experience as a Host/ess or in a similar front-of-house role within a quality, fast-paced restaurant, • Friendly, personable, and confident with a natural passion for hospitality, • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, • Impeccable attention to detail, • Well presented with a professional and positive attitude, • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities, • Calm and composed when working under pressure, • Comfortable engaging with a wide range of guests, • Strong sense of ownership and responsibility within your role, • Good spoken and written English, • Willingness to learn and develop within the team, • Ambitious and motivated to progress your career within hospitality, • Must have the right to live and work in the UK What We Offer • Salary of up to £15 per hour, • 28 days paid holiday per year, • Pension scheme, including employer contributions, • Free meals while on duty, • 50% employee dining discount when visiting with family and friends, • Career progression opportunities within a growing restaurant group, • Internal training and career development, • Supportive and people-focused working culture, • Fantastic staff events, • The opportunity to work at two of London's exciting and well-established dining destinations Equal Opportunities Thesleff Group is an equal opportunities employer committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
