Senior/Associate Building Surveyor (JPC-66) Overview We are seeking a confident and capable Senior/Associate Building Surveyor to join our busy London consultancy team. This role offers the opportunity to work across both public and private sector projects, delivering Building Surveying, Project Monitoring, Contract Administration, and producing Building Safety Cases for higher-risk buildings. You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues in our London and Kent offices on high-profile projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a Chartered (MRICS) professional or someone working towards chartership with strong experience in JCT contracts and fire remediation projects. Key Responsibilities • Produce compliant Building Safety Cases for higher-risk buildings., • Undertake detailed building inspections and defect analysis across sectors such as residential, education, and healthcare., • Scope and coordinate pre-contract investigations, surveys, and due diligence., • Draft, review, and amend PCSA and JCT contract documentation., • Prepare specifications, schedules of work, and technical documents using NBS., • Administer fire remediation and refurbishment works through to completion., • Attend and minute site meetings; carry out inspections and issue instructions, certificates, and notices., • Assess valuations, advise clients on cash flow, and manage contractor applications., • Coordinate project teams to ensure effective, timely delivery across stakeholders., • Represent the business professionally with clients, contractors, residents, and consultants., • Support knowledge sharing, mentoring, and team development within the business. Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications • MRICS (or equivalent) professional qualification is desirable. Applications welcome from candidates with a relevant degree and minimum 3–5 years’ experience working towards professional qualification., • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience (3 years for those working towards qualification)., • Knowledge and experience of producing Building Safety Cases., • Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations, Fire Safety legislation, and guidance from the Building Safety Regulator., • Experience delivering fire remediation and new-build residential projects under Pre-Construction Services Agreements (PCSA)., • Solid contract administration experience on repairs, maintenance, and refurbishment projects., • Proficiency in producing specifications and schedules of work using NBS, under JCT IFC or similar contracts., • Strong communication, presentation, and report-writing skills., • Confident in using Quality Management Systems., • Valid UK driving licence and access to a car for business use.
