However, the ultimate goal of the job is to construct, build and repair buildings and other structures, such as foundations, walls, chimneys or even decorative masonry work. As such, the responsibilities and duties of a bricklayer are as follows: Laying bricks Applying or removing grout with a trowel Strengthening and sealing foundations with the appropriate material, usually damp-resistant materials Repairing building blocks and chimneys Refurbishing decorative stonework Measuring. Before laying bricks, the bricklayer needs to measure the build area to be able to place the first rows of bricks and damp course Understanding and managing the quantities of material required for the job Using tools such as hand tools, brick-cutting machines but also spirit levels and plumb lines to check building alignment A bricklayer will be required to work outside on construction sites, in various environments and changing weather conditions. As we expand, we are seeking a reliable and organised Office Manager to take charge of our administrative operations and help us grow efficiently. About the Role: We are seeking a qualified and experienced Plumber and Heating & Ventilation Installer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing and heating systems across a range of commercial and domestic properties. This role plays a key part in delivering essential services for both new-build and renovation projects under long-term client contracts. Key Responsibilities: • Install and maintain plumbing, heating, and ventilation systems, • Conduct fault-finding and repair work on boilers, pipework, and radiators, • Work to technical drawings and specifications, • Ensure all work complies with relevant safety and building regulations, • Liaise with site managers and clients where required, • Minimum NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent international qualification) in Plumbing/Mechanical Engineering, • Proven experience in plumbing and HVAC installation, • Gas Safe certification (preferred but not essential), • Strong understanding of UK building regulations, • Valid UK driving licence (or willing to obtain one), • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, • Good communication and problem-solving skills
