[thewriteti...ool.org.uk], [thewriteti...ool.org.uk] \n Key Responsibilities \n\n • Support students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups within the classroom\n, • Assist in managing challenging behaviour using calm, consistent, and restorative approaches\n, • Build positive, trusting relationships with students who may have experienced barriers to education\n, • Support students’ emotional regulation, social skills, and confidence\n, • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and therapeutic staff\n, • Help deliver tailored learning activities in line with individual education plans\n, • Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment at all times\n\n The Ideal Candidate Will Have: \n\n • Experience working with SEN, SEMH, or vulnerable young people (education, youth work, care, or similar)\n, • A calm, patient, and resilient approach to behaviour support\n, • Strong communication and interpersonal skills\n, • A genuine interest in supporting students with additional needs\n, • An understanding that behaviour is a form of communication\n, • A proactive and adaptable attitude\n\n Desirable: \n\n • Relevant degree (e.g. Psychology, Criminology, Education)\n, • Training in Mental Health, Safeguarding, or Behaviour Support\n, • Experience in alternative provision, PRUs, or specialist settings\n\n About the Setting \n This is a specialist provision for young people who may have struggled in mainstream education.
