We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring, and motivated Early Years Practitioner to join a Childrens Centre Hub Team, delivering engaging and high-quality play and communication sessions across childrens centres within Enfield. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children aged 04 during a crucial stage of their development and help build strong foundations in communication, language, social skills, and early literacy through creative and play-based learning activities.The successful candidate will support children in reaching key developmental milestones and improving school readiness, while working closely with families, colleagues, and partner agencies to deliver an inclusive and supportive early years service .Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver fun, stimulating, and age-appropriate play sessions that promote communication, language development, and early literacy skillsSupport childrens individual learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) frameworkEncourage positive parent and carer involvement within sessionsObserve and monitor childrens progress, identifying any additional support needs where appropriateAccurately record attendance, activities, observations, and session outcomes in line with administrative proceduresMaintain a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environmentWork collab oratively with colleagues, professionals, and partner organisations to deliver high-quality services aligned with national childrens centre prioritiesContribute to improving outcomes for children and families, particularly those requiring additional supportFollow safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality procedures alwaysRequirementsNVQ Level 3 in Early Years Education and Childcare (or equivalent) or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)Minimum 2 years experience within an Early Years, nursery, preschool, or childcare settingStrong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and child developmentExperience delivering activities that support speech, communication, and language developmentGood IT skills with experience in data entry, record keeping, and maintaining accurate documentationStrong communication and teamwork skillsEnhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)Working HoursMonday to Friday8:00am 4:00pm1-hour unpaid lunch break35 hours per weekAdditional InformationThis is a varied and flexible role requiring travel across a range of childrens centre locations, including satellite and community venues throughout Enfield.
