My client is the UK’s leading provider for premium and bespoke private label supplements and nutrition products. Offering a seamless full-service solution, they specialise in branding, product development and manufacturing with a highly experienced in-house team of experts. With over 20 professionals passionate about innovation, they simplify the process of creating and launching high-quality nutrition products. Key Responsibilities -The Quality Manager will have finished Product Quality Ownership & Approval - own finished product quality across all formats, including organoleptics, visual standards, packaging finish, fill/pack quality and batch consistency. -Lead finished product approval through organoleptic testing, reference sample comparison, retained sample review, visual checks and pack/fill checks, with clear records throughout. -Quality Standards & Briefing - develop and improve standards and strengthen the quality of briefing to manufacturing partners on visual standards and production expectations. -Define clear checks, approval stages and record keeping, so standards are understood and followed consistently. -Organoleptic & Finished Product Testing - carry out and coordinate finished product organoleptic testing, including DOD or triangle testing, where needed. -Lead finished product lab testing, ensuring sufficient production samples are received, samples are sent promptly and lab results are processed, reviewed and filed carefully to avoid delays to release. -Site Quality Oversight - attend important or high-risk production runs to oversee in-process quality, confirm standards are being met and identify issues before release. This role will involve travel to manufacturing sites across the UK and internationally where required. -Customer Complaints & Quality Investigations - manage customer complaints relating to finished product quality and lead investigations into concerns such as taste issues, blend issues, clumping or packaging defects. This may include checking retained samples and investigating manufacturing execution and finished product causes -Build Scalable Quality Capability - help develop a scalable quality function through improved workflows, templates, training and processes. What they're re looking for • Strong experience in a Quality Manager / QC Manager role in food, supplements, beverages or similar FMCG manufacturing • Practical experience in finished product quality and approvals, • Experience managing organoleptic assessment and coordinating finished product testing • Experience leading complaint investigations with manufacturers and suppliers • Meticulous attention to detail and strong documentation discipline, • Confidence working on-site and challenging partners constructively, • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities at pace • Clear communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with Technical, Operations and NPD • Proactive, prevention-focused mindset with high standards and commercial awareness • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel, • Valid passport and willingness to travel internationally when required, • Experience in supplements / powders / nutrition products (desirable), • Working knowledge of BRCGS / food safety frameworks (desirable, for collaboration with Technical
