Job Title: Family Paralegal / Family Solicitor Location: Rayleigh Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Family Paralegal / Solicitor A growing and ambitious law firm based in Rayleigh is seeking a Family Paralegal or Family Solicitor to join its expanding Family Law Department. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a varied caseload of family law matters while playing an active role in the continued growth and success of the department. Key Responsibilities • Managing a caseload of family law matters appropriate to your level of qualification and experience., • Assisting clients with divorce, financial settlements, child arrangements, cohabitation disputes, and domestic abuse matters., • Drafting legal documents, correspondence, witness statements, and court applications., • Conducting legal research and preparing case summaries., • Liaising with clients, counsel, courts, experts, and third parties., • Attending court hearings, client meetings, and mediations where appropriate., • Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements., • Supporting business development, networking activities, and the continued growth of the Family Law Department. Requirements For Paralegal Applicants: • Previous experience working within a family law department., • Strong knowledge of family law procedures and documentation., • Excellent drafting, communication, and organisational skills., • Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently. For Solicitor Applicants: • Qualified Solicitor, • Experience handling a range of private family law matters., • Strong client care and case management skills., • Advocacy experience would be advantageous but is not essential. Essential Skills • Excellent attention to detail., • Professional and empathetic approach to client care., • Strong written and verbal communication skills., • Ability to work effectively within a growing team environment., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems., • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
