For the right candidate, there is also the opportunity to step into an Estimating Manager position. The Role Prepare mechanical tenders and cost plans on projects typically up to £12.5m (sweet spot £5m-£6m). Work across a range of sectors including education, healthcare, life sciences, leisure, and student accommodation . Liaise with supply chain partners to ensure best value. Provide technical and commercial input during the pre-construction phase. Collaborate closely with clients, consultants, and internal project teams. Mentor junior estimators if stepping into a management role. What We're Looking For Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator within building services. Sector experience in education, healthcare, or life sciences preferred. Strong commercial acumen and technical understanding. Ability to work full-time in the Cambridge office (with flexibility to use Colchester office). Senior candidates should be confident in leading estimating functions. What's on Offer £60,000 - £80,000 (depending on experience and level).
