SEND Tutor / SEN Tutor – Bromley Autism | SEMH | ADHD | 1:1 Tuition | Ages 5–25 Location: Bromley and surrounding areas Pay: £25–£35 per hour PAYE Job Type: Part-Time / Full-Time / Flexible Hours New Chapter Tuition is currently recruiting experienced and dedicated SEND Tutors to provide personalised 1:1 tuition for children and young people aged 5–25 across Bromley and surrounding areas. This rewarding outreach role involves supporting learners with a range of additional needs including Autism (ASC), SEMH, ADHD, Dyslexia, Speech and Language Needs, anxiety, and emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA). Learners may be accessing support through EOTAS packages, alternative provision, elective home education, PEX pathways, or whilst awaiting specialist school placements. Tuition is delivered within homes, libraries, schools, community settings, and alternative provisions. Key Responsibilities • Deliver engaging and tailored 1:1 tuition sessions, • Support learners with SEN / SEND including Autism, SEMH, and ADHD, • Adapt learning approaches to EHCP outcomes and individual needs, • Build positive relationships that support confidence and engagement, • Deliver trauma-informed and nurture-based learning approaches, • Monitor learner progress and complete session reports, • Work collaboratively with families, schools, and professionals Candidate Requirements • Minimum 1 year experience supporting children or young people with SEN / SEND, • Understanding of the UK National Curriculum, • Experience as a Teacher, Tutor, TA, HLTA, Mentor, or similar role preferred, • Strong communication and behaviour management skills, • Patient, resilient, and adaptable approach, • Ability to work independently within community settings, • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one), • Right to work in the UK What We Offer • Competitive PAYE hourly rates (£25–£35 per hour), • Flexible working opportunities, • Local tuition placements across Bromley, • Ongoing CPD and SEND-specific training, • Access to professional development webinars, • Dedicated tutor support team, • Long-term progression opportunities Safeguarding New Chapter Tuition is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
