We are excited to announce the opening of a brand-new Options Autism schools in County Durham, designed to provide exceptional education and support for pupils with a variety of needs, including Autism. Trimdon Hill School, located in Durham, caters to 40 pupils aged 4 to 11 years and opened in June 2025. We are currently recruiting a dedicated Teacher to join the team and help shape the future of this school. • Location: Durham, North East, TS29 6EY, • Salary: £38,000 per annum, • Hours: 37.5 hours per week; Monday 8.30am-5pm, Tuesday 8.30am-4.30pm, Wednesday 8.30am-5pm, Thursday 8.30am-4pm, Friday 8.30am-4pm Through your knowledge and passion, you will have a real impact on the lives of pupils and young people. As a Teacher, you will take a creative approach to teaching pupils according to their educational needs, ensuring delivery of the school curriculum in a way that maximises pupil’s achievement and ability to develop. About the role • To secure high quality teaching, effective use of resources and improve standards of learning and achievement for all pupils in consultation with the Headteacher;, • To teach a range of subjects as necessary to ensure the effective delivery of the school’s primary and secondary curriculums. Work may sometimes be undertaken outside the main teaching area;, • In consultation with the Headteacher undertake other identified areas of responsibility as necessary to ensure effective delivery of the school’s curriculum;, • Safeguard and promote the welfare of pupils and young people;, • Work in accordance with professional practice, statutory and legal requirements and the policies., • Take on specific tasks related to the day to day administration and organisation of the school;, • Take responsibility for specific areas of work which will be reviewed annually then negotiated and agreed within the performance management cycle and school improvement process;, • QTS Why join Options Autism?
