Specialist Teaching Learning Assistant Location: Spalding, Lincolnshire (PE11) Pay: £100 - £120 per day Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 - 15:30 Contract: Full-time, long term to permanent Start Date: ASAP About the Role Long Term Futures is recruiting a Specialist Teaching Learning Assistant (STLA) for a newly formed specialist school located in Spalding. The school supports children and young people aged 2 to 19 with autism and associated needs. With small class sizes and high staffing levels, the school provides a structured day that supports both learning and personal development. The curriculum is highly personalised and includes a strong focus on communication, emotional wellbeing, practical life skills and therapeutic support. What You'll Be Doing Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups throughout the school day Helping students develop confidence, independence and positive routines Encouraging engagement in learning activities and supporting progress Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies Recording progress, wellbeing and key observations in line with school systems Supporting with personal care where required What We're Looking For Experience supporting children or young people with SEN or Autism A calm, patient and flexible approach Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team Relevant qualifications (Level 2 or 3 TA, CACHE or similar) are welcome but not essential Enhanced DBS on the Update System, 2x references and a Right to Work in the UK. About You Candidate must be fully compliant; this includes a DBS on the update system, and 2x references.
