As our business continues to grow, we are looking for friendly, reliable and confident Sales Assistants to join our retail team. This is a hands-on role for someone confident enough to deliver a professional service from day one, while being curious, adaptable and excited to learn as the concept develops. What you'll be doing • Prepare consistently excellent espresso-based coffees and other hot drinks., • Make and serve cocktails, wine and non-alcoholic drinks confidently and efficiently., • Welcome customers with warm, upbeat and knowledgeable service., • Support the service of our plant-based food menu and maintain strong presentation standards., • Operate a compact outdoor food-service environment efficiently during busy periods., • Complete opening, closing, cleaning, stock and basic service-preparation duties., • Follow food hygiene, allergen, licensing, age-verification and health & safety procedures., • Help us develop the experience as we introduce seasonal menus, terrace supper clubs, afternoon/high tea and special events. Who we're looking for • Proven hospitality experience - ideally restaurant, bar, cafe, food truck, kiosk or high-volume outdoor service., • Strong barista experience and confidence using a commercial espresso machine., • Practical cocktail-making and bar service experience., • Positive energy, natural people skills and a genuine love of hospitality., • An interest in nature, plants, plant-based food and creative food & drink experiences., • Calm, organised and clean when working under pressure., • Reliable, proactive and comfortable taking ownership of a small service area., • Experienced, but still open to training, feedback and learning new products and ways of working.

Key Responsibilities • Prepare fresh, house-baked goods, pastries, granola and other plant-based treats., • Follow Onyx Matcha Club recipes, preparation methods and presentation standards., • Support the development of creative, nutritious and seasonal menu items., • Complete daily food preparation and batch production efficiently., • Ensure consistent portion sizes, taste, texture and presentation., • Clearly label, date and safely store all prepared products., • Follow food-safety, hygiene and allergen procedures at all times., • Monitor ingredient stock levels and communicate ordering requirements., • Follow FIFO stock rotation and help minimise food waste., • Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen and preparation area., • Work closely with the wider café team to ensure products are prepared and available on time. About You We are looking for someone who: • Has previous experience in food preparation, baking or a similar kitchen role., • Is passionate about baking, wholesome ingredients and plant-based food., • Can follow recipes accurately and maintain consistent standards., • Has excellent organisation and time-management skills., • Understands food hygiene, allergen awareness and safe food handling., • Can work independently and as part of a team., • Is reliable, punctual and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment., • Has a creative eye and takes pride in the appearance of every product. A Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene certificate is desirable, although training may be provided.
