JOB- Manufacturing Operations Manager LOCATION- West London TERM- Permanent SALARY- £60,000-£85,000 plus other benefits My client is looking for a Manufacturing Operations Manager to join their business pn a permanent basis in West London area. The successful candidates would preferably have a machine shop/ precision engineering background. The Manufacturing Operations Manager will ideally have the following attributes: Degree level qualified beneficial, Ideally Mechanical background or work based experience Knowledge of SAP or equivalent MRP scheduling systems Forward thinking perspective Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques. Create and implement best practice in manufacturing, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance including quality. Manage regular stock checks to ensure accuracy of both WIP held and MRP requirements highlighting any discrepancies on the system. Keep in line with daily and weekly metrics aligned to customer demand which supports the operational strategy in conjunction with the Production Manager. Ensure site operation is compliant on COSHH, Engineering & legislative standards, ISO9001 and ISO14001. Drive behavioural based safety throughout the plant and ensure medical treatment and target rates are adhered to. To take a lead role in Incident Investigations, follow up on actions, look for route cause (five whys) analysis. Conducts regular safety checks including guarding, interlocks, traffic ways and adherence to government guidelines including social distancing. Manage regular stock checks to ensure accuracy of both WIP held and MRP requirements on a regular basis and align any discrepancies on the system. Team management, including coaching, motivation, appraisals, reviews, KPI's, one-2-one meetings, disciplinary matters and grievances as required. Management of budgets, including overtime, headcount, department costs aligned to customer demand requirements and demonstrate the ability to flex costs accordingly. Summary of Duties: The role requires keeping equipment and machinery in optimum operational condition. Our client is a leading Fire Prevention Business. They would like to recruit a Sprinkler Fitter to work on small to medium sized projects in and around London. Role: • To carry out small works additions, alterations and fit outs to automatic sprinkler systems., • To liaise with the client’s site representative and take charge of the on-site aspects of the installation., • To work as part of a team of two, supervising a fitters mate., • To ensure all works are to a high standard, whilst creating and maintaining customer relationships., • Respond to allocated emergency call outs. Key Duties & Responsibilities: Attend the Maidenhead office as required, to discuss works and relevant job specific instructions and to procure materials and plant from the company stores. Attend client sites to carry out small works additions, alterations and fit outs to sprinkler systems in accordance with design drawings and instructions. Possess a basic working knowledge of pipe sizing and sprinkler heads spacing rules for ordinary hazard occupancies to current BSEN12845 rules. Carrying out the following types of works: Additions and alterations to existing sprinkler systems including the initial isolations of all types of control valves, pumps and water supplies, draining of sprinkler systems and refilling and recommissioning on completion. Office and shop fit outs within construction zones. Additions and alterations within occupied areas. Remedial repair works to existing sprinkler pipework for both Servicing and Installation departments. Responsible for the receipt of deliveries of materials and hired plant and for the safekeeping and return of plant. Responsible for the completion and return of all the necessary report sheets, site completion certificates, pressure test certificates and the site mark up of drawings to reflect as-installed status. Responsible for being aware of the details laid out within issued Health & Safety documentation including job specific Risk Assessments and Method Statements. Assist internal office staff with the return and completion of any necessary Health and Safety/Quality Management Paperwork. Adhere to the company’s Health & Safety and Employment Policies as laid out in the relevant employee handbooks. Attend all job-related training given, (internal & external training programmes). Maintain a driving licence and be responsible for the use and care of a company vehicle in accordance with company policy

JOB- Manufacturing Operations Manager LOCATION- West London TERM- Permanent SALARY- £60,000-£85,000 plus other benefits My client is looking for a Manufacturing Operations Manager to join their business pn a permanent basis in West London area. The successful candidates would preferably have a machine shop/ precision engineering background. The Manufacturing Operations Manager will ideally have the following attributes: Degree level qualified beneficial, Ideally Mechanical background or work based experience Knowledge of SAP or equivalent MRP scheduling systems Forward thinking perspective Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques. Good understanding of manufacturing processes Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Proven successful leader The Manufacturing Operations Manager role will involve: Assist in implementation of road map and daily and weekly metrics aligned with customer demand which supports operational strategy in conjunction with site manager Manage staff attendance & holiday entitlement Participate in daily production meetings to keep up to date with business needs Raise any issues online performance and materials availability that hinder the plan of customer delivery. Create and implement best practice in manufacturing, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance including quality. Manage regular stock checks to ensure accuracy of both WIP held and MRP requirements highlighting any discrepancies on the system. Keep in line with daily and weekly metrics aligned to customer demand which supports the operational strategy in conjunction with the Production Manager. Ensure site operation is compliant on COSHH, Engineering & legislative standards, ISO9001 and ISO14001. Drive behavioural based safety throughout the plant and ensure medical treatment and target rates are adhered to. To take a lead role in Incident Investigations, follow up on actions, look for route cause (five whys) analysis. Conducts regular safety checks including guarding, interlocks, traffic ways and adherence to government guidelines including social distancing. Manage regular stock checks to ensure accuracy of both WIP held and MRP requirements on a regular basis and align any discrepancies on the system. Team management, including coaching, motivation, appraisals, reviews, KPI's, one-2-one meetings, disciplinary matters and grievances as required. Management of budgets, including overtime, headcount, department costs aligned to customer demand requirements and demonstrate the ability to flex costs accordingly.
