We are seeking a Maintenance Person / Handyman for a fantastic modern Care Home near Borough Green, Sevenoaks. They are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Person to join their beautiful, purpose-built care home on a full time, permanent contract working Monday to Friday. Key details, Maintenance Worker: Reference – PK69960 • Full time, permanent role,, • Monday to Friday, • Flexibility with shift times (e.g. 8am-4pm, 9am-5pm), • £14.50+ per hour As the full-time Maintenance Person / Maintenance Operative you will take responsibility for resolving any home maintenance concerns promptly, ensuring that the care home is a safe and well-maintained environment so that residents feel at home and staff can do their jobs well. You will have a working knowledge of building systems and related regulatory requirements including, but not limited to fire safety checks, legionella flushing, basic plumbing, carpentry and electrical jobs, and basic equipment repair. The Maintenance Person must have good knowledge of relevant health & safety regulations and have the ability to assess and manage risk. Importantly, you must also have the ability to work on your own initiative and address potential issues as they may arise before they affect the daily running of the Care Home. Our client is an modern, purpose-built Care Home that only opened 3 years ago. They specialise in elderly care and have a great reputation in the local area. The Care Home has free on-site parking, and there is also a bus stop just outside. You will be working for an established family-owned company with a strong history of supporting and developing their staff. Care Home Maintenance Person responsibilities • Identify and carry out repairs and improvements in accordance with the Care Home’s procedures and quality standards., • Ensure that a safe environment is always maintained within the Home, reporting any incidents, accidents, infections or hazards/ faults., • Carry out all required tests and checks for various systems of the home on weekly, monthly and annual basis. Care Home Maintenance Person skills/experience • Good general property maintenance knowledge and skills, • Previous experience as a Maintenance Assistant, Handyman or Head of Maintenance is preferred, • Relevant qualifications such as NVQ/Diploma/City & Guilds and Health & Safety/NEBOSH certificate (Desirable but not essential) For more information on this Maintenance Person role please call Phil King on (phone number removed)
