Axon Moore are excited to be supporting a well-established and growing business in Chorley to recruit a new Commercial Operations Partner. This role is paying a competitive salary of up to £55,000.We are seeking a Commercial Operations Partner to act as a key advisor to operations and commercial teams. The role focuses on driving profitable growth and operational efficiency through insight-led decision support, pricing and margin analysis, and high-quality reporting. You will leverage Power BI and other analytics tools to deliver actionable insights, helping teams make confident commercial decisions.Key ResponsibilitiesCommercial & Operational Partnering • Partner closely with operations teams to monitor costs, productivity, and efficiency., • Support commercial teams with pricing decisions, promotional evaluation, and margin optimisation., • Influence key operational and commercial decisions using data-driven insights., • Translate complex analysis into clear, actionable reports and dashboards for non-finance stakeholders.Analysis & Reporting, • Analyse operational costs, including labour, logistics, and fulfilment, to support margin management., • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards to track operational KPIs, including efficiency, accuracy, waste, and cost per order., • Produce ad hoc reports and scenario modelling to support trading, pricing, promotional, and operational decisions., • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and optimise resource allocation through automated insights.Planning & Performance, • Support budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking for operations and commercial functions., • Contribute to long-term planning, including pricing strategy, profitability improvement, and operational alignment with demand.Person SpecificationEssential Experience, • Proven experience in a commercial or business partnering role within operations or e-commerce., • Strong commercial acumen, including pricing, margin, and operational performance., • Advanced experience with Power BI, Excel, or other analytics/reporting tools., • Confident communicator with the ability to influence and build relationships across functions., • Comfortable working with large datasets and producing high volumes of ad hoc reporting.Desirable Experience, • Multi-channel retail or high-volume operational experience., • Experience improving reporting processes and automating insight delivery., • Familiarity with other BI tools or analytics platforms is a plus.Key Behaviours, • Commercially minded, curious, and proactive., • Comfortable working with ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities., • Strong relationship-builder with excellent influencing skills., • Proactive, resilient, and capable of taking ownership in a fast-paced environment.Benefits, • Competitive holiday allowance and flexible leave options, • Birthday leave and enhanced family leave, • Employee discount schemes and wellness initiatives, • Supportive, collaborative working environmentOur local Lancashire Axon Moore team recruit all accounting and finance roles from CFO to transactional finance on both a temporary and permanent basis.
