School Administrator (Grade 7) – Job Description Role Overview We are seeking a highly organised, proactive and professional Assistant School Business Manager to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school community. This is an immediate start opportunity, offered on a temp-to-perm basis, although the school would also consider a direct permanent appointment for the right candidate. This role has been created as part of a long-term succession plan, with the current School Business Manager planning to retire within the next 1–2 years. It offers an exceptional opportunity to progress quickly into a full School Business Manager role, with extensive support, training and coaching provided throughout the transition. The post is full-time (37 hours per week), working 8:00am–4:00pm, Monday to Friday, on a full-year contract, with annual leave to be taken during school holiday periods. The successful candidate will work closely alongside the current SBM, gaining exposure to all aspects of school business management while gradually increasing responsibility. Key responsibilities will include supporting and eventually leading on finance, HR administration, premises coordination, compliance and operational management, as well as contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the school office. This is a development-focused role for someone ambitious, capable and ready to step into senior responsibility within a supportive environment.
