Interim Assistant Headteacher Behaviour & Pastoral Focus Scroll down for a complete overview of what this job will require Are you the right candidate for this opportunity Location:East Midlands Contract: Interim (Easter start end of academic year 2027) Daily rate: Negotiable Working Pattern: Ideally 5 days (less days can be considered) Brava Education is working with a secondary school in the East Midlands seeking an experienced Interim Assistant Headteacher to lead on behaviour and pastoral development. This is a hands-on senior leadership brief. The school is continuing its improvement journey and is looking for a strong, visible leader who can embed consistency, strengthen pastoral systems and support staff ahead of inspection. The Role • Lead on behaviour strategy and pastoral consistency across KS3 and KS4, • Coach and mentor non-teaching Heads of Department, • Work closely with the Deputy Head (line manager) and Headteacher, • Use data systems confidently to drive improvement in behaviour and achievement, • Be a visible presence around school, building credibility and relationships quickly We are keen to hear from: • Experienced Assistant Headteachers with a strong behaviour portfolio, • Deputy Headteachers or senior leaders comfortable operating at AHT level, • Leaders with a proven track record of improving behaviour and pastoral standards, • Individuals confident analysing and using school data to inform actionThe Opportunity, • Easter start, • Contract until the end of the academic year 2027 Apply today or contact David at Brava Education directly for more information.
