Job Title: Commercial / Civil Litigation Solicitor Location: London Bridge Salary: £50,000 - 80,000+ D.O.E Job Type: Permanent / Full-time The Firm A boutique law firm with offices in London Bridge and Streatham. The team has extensive experience across civil litigation and contentious probate, advising both individuals and organisations. The firm provides clear legal guidance, negotiates settlements, and progresses matters through the courts when required. About the Role They are seeking a skilled Commercial/Civil Litigation Solicitor to join their growing team. This role offers the chance to manage a varied caseload, work on medium to high-value claims, and support the department’s continued growth. The role suits a solicitor who works independently but also enjoys collaborating with colleagues. Key Responsibilities • Drafting court documents, pleadings, witness statements, letters before action, and settlement agreements, • Managing cases from instruction to conclusion, ensuring compliance with deadlines and court procedures, • Advising clients and building strong professional relationships, • Conducting legal research to support case strategy and advice, • Negotiating settlements and alternative dispute resolutions, • Attending hearings, case management conferences, and trials, • Maintaining accurate case records using the firm’s case management system, • Acting for claimants in professional negligence, fiduciary breaches, fraud, misfeasance, partnership disputes, and TLATA claims, • Supporting business development initiatives Person Specification • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills, • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, • Ability to manage multiple cases and maintain confidentiality, • Strong client-facing and relationship-building skills, • Knowledge of case management systems, Word, Excel, and SRA regulations, • Experience under Lexcel or equivalent standards desirable Additional Information The role may involve occasional travel for hearings or client meetings. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to professional development and keeping up to date with civil litigation law.
