We are seeking an experienced and organised Facilities Management and Compliance Officer to oversee facilities performance, site compliance, health and safety, and operational management within a busy educational environment. \n Acting as the key liaison with the Facilities Management provider, you will ensure contracted services are delivered effectively, the site remains safe and compliant, and day-to-day operations run smoothly. \n Key Responsibilities \n\n • Manage relationships with Facilities Management providers and monitor service delivery against agreed standards.\n, • Coordinate maintenance programmes, refurbishment projects and contractor activity.\n, • Oversee cleaning, catering, security, grounds maintenance and other contracted services.\n, • Act as the Health & Safety Coordinator and Fire Safety Officer.\n, • Maintain compliance records, risk assessments, COSHH documentation and statutory inspection schedules.\n, • Lead fire safety procedures, drills and contractor compliance monitoring.\n, • Support GDPR compliance, data protection processes and record management.\n, • Manage site access, key holding systems and contractor arrangements.\n, • Support procurement, business continuity planning and wider operational activities.\n, • Produce compliance and operational reports for senior stakeholders.\n\n Person Specification \n Essential: \n\n • Experience in facilities, estates, compliance, operations or site management.\n, • Experience managing contractors and service providers.\n, • Knowledge of Health & Safety and Fire Safety regulations.\n, • Strong organisational, administrative and communication skills.\n, • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.\n, • Proficient in Microsoft Office and maintaining compliance records.\n, • Full UK driving licence.\n\n Desirable: \n\n • Experience within education, public sector or PFI environments.\n, • IOSH Managing Safely qualification.\n, • Knowledge of GDPR and data protection legislation.\n, • Understanding of safeguarding requirements.\n, • First Aid at Work qualification.\n\n This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory pre-employment screening. \n Interested?
