We are recruiting for a Textured Hair Champion to join our passionate and high-performing Cantu team as Communications Manager. Cantu is the UK’s leading brand for textured hair, with an award-winning collection of haircare products carefully curated for curls, coils, kinks and waves. Developed nearly 20 years ago and now part of PDC Brands, Cantu continues to be shaped by Black voices within our teams, alongside a diverse group of leaders who bring deep cultural understanding and authenticity to the brand. Today, Cantu is not only a market leader in the UK, but is also expanding its presence across Europe - with growing communities and distribution across key territories. We pride ourselves on our deep expertise and understanding of our consumers, developing trusted products that deliver real results for textured hair. The Role This is a strategically focused role responsible for shaping how Cantu shows up across the UK and Europe. You will lead the development and execution of integrated communications strategies that drive brand awareness, strengthen market leadership, and support commercial growth. Working cross-functionally with UK, European and US teams, as well as agency and distributor partners, you will ensure a consistent and culturally relevant brand voice across all touchpoints. You will also lead and develop a small team, supporting their growth while ensuring best-in-class execution across all communications activity. What You’ll Be Responsible For • Developing and leading PR, influencer and social media strategies across the UK and priority European markets, • Owning Cantu’s social ecosystem (organic and paid), ensuring performance-driven and insight-led activity ensuring a cohesive and culturally relevant visual and brand identity across all markets, • Managing European PR agencies, working collaboratively with the UK PR team to deliver cohesive, insight-led and locally relevant campaigns across markets, • Driving integrated campaigns from concept through to execution and evaluation, • Managing and optimising agency partners, holding them accountable to clear KPIs and ROI, • Leading social commerce initiatives, including TikTok Shop, • Building meaningful community and ambassador programmes that authentically connect with our audience, • Partnering closely with Sales teams and distributors, developing compelling presentations and marketing updates that support retailer engagement, sell-in opportunities and commercial growth, • Translating performance data into actionable insights to continuously improve impact What We’re Looking For • Strong cultural awareness and understanding of the textured haircare community, with a proven ability to deliver authentic and resonant communications, • Proven experience in communications, with strong exposure to PR, influencer and social media, • Experience developing and delivering strategy across multiple markets (Europe preferred), • Experience working within a matrix structure, with the ability to influence and collaborate across regional and local teams, • Strong commercial mindset, with the ability to connect communications to business outcomes, • Experience working cross-functionally with Sales teams, with the confidence to operate in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment, • Confident stakeholder manager, comfortable presenting to senior leadership, • Experience managing agencies and delivering measurable results, • Line management experience, with a passion for developing talent, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, • Fluency in German / French highly desirable Why Join Us At PDC Brands, we are committed to building an inclusive workplace that reflects the diversity of the consumers we serve.
