Lead AI Developer | Hybrid (Slough, 2 days a week) | £75,000–£90,000 + Bonus We’re supporting a founder-led tech business building an AI-first platform within the industrial software sector. This is a hands-on technical leadership role, ideal for someone ready to take ownership of AI delivery in a modern SaaS environment. The Opportunity Join a small, high-impact team developing an AI Insight & Decision Platform for industrial and manufacturing businesses. You’ll lead all AI and ML initiatives – from architecting intelligent agents and predictive models to integrating them into a live SaaS product used by industry clients. This role is focused on building practical, production-grade AI systems that deliver measurable value. Responsibilities • Design and deliver AI-driven features such as intelligent inventory optimisation, autonomous procurement, and predictive maintenance., • Build and integrate LLM-driven components, ML pipelines, and OCR tools into a .NET/React SaaS stack on Azure., • Set technical standards for AI development and MLOps., • Work closely with developers and the Founder/CEO to define the technical roadmap., • Contribute to a major pilot project launching in mid-2026, with potential to grow into a CTO-level position in the future as the company scales. Requirements • 4+ years’ experience in AI/ML or software engineering with production responsibility., • Strong skills in Python, vector databases, LangChain or Semantic Kernel, and Azure AI/MLOps., • Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or industrial technology preferred., • Entrepreneurial, pragmatic, and comfortable working in a small, fast-paced environment., • Able to work from the Slough office at least two days per week.
