At Teconnex in West Yorkshire, we are seeking a technically strong and detail-driven Aerospace Production Engineer to support and improve manufacturing processes for aerospace components and assemblies within a regulated, high-reliability environment. This position bridges Design Engineering and Manufacturing, ensuring products are delivered efficiently, safely, and fully compliant with aerospace quality and regulatory standards. The Role You will play a key role in optimising production processes, supporting new product introduction (NPI), and driving continuous improvement across manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities • Develop, implement and optimise manufacturing processes for aerospace components, • Provide technical support to production teams to resolve manufacturing issues and improve yield, • Create and maintain work instructions, routings, and manufacturing documentation, • Collaborate with Design Engineering to ensure DFM/DFA best practice, • Support NPI activities including tooling, fixtures, validation and production readiness, • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), • Analyse production data to improve cycle time, quality, and cost efficiency, • Work cross-functionally with Quality, Planning, Maintenance and Supply Chain teams, • Ensure compliance with AS9100 and applicable regulatory requirements (CAA / EASA / FAA where applicable) Essential Skills • Experience within aerospace or other high-reliability manufacturing sectors, • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as:, • Stainless steel forming, Spot welding, • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T, • Experience with Aerospace Core Tools:, • PFD, PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP / FAIR, APQP, • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, • Experience working within AS9100-certified environments, • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma methodologies, • Experience with CAD and manufacturing planning systems, • Hands-on experience with tooling, fixtures, and validation activities Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline.
