Nordson Test & Inspection, a global leader in world-class metrology equipment and inspection systems, is seeking a motivated and talented Electronics Engineer to join our team in Colchester, United Kingdom. \n\nSummary of the role \n\nYou will be responsible for designing electronics hardware associated with X-ray imaging components. \n\nYou will have the opportunity to contribute to the full lifecycle, from initial concept to product including design, development, test and production support. \n\nYou will be supported by an experienced team to develop your Electronics Engineering abilities and the personal skills needed to thrive in a high technology engineering team. We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we are looking for candidates who share that same commitment. \n\nRole and Responsibilities \n\nPCB design including some high-speed elements.\n\nPCB layout constraints and analysis.\n\nHigh voltage (200 KV) PSU design. \n\nEmbedded Firmware and HDL development. \n\nTechnical documentation. \n\nVerification at board and system level.\n\nSkills and Qualifications \n\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field.\n\nKnowledge of analogue/digital circuit design, power electronics, and embedded systems.\n\nGood communication and interpersonal skills, willingness to learn and be flexible to change.\n\nExperience with Analogue circuit design (e.g. LTSpice etc) and testing. \n\nKnowledge of PCB CAD tools (e.g. Altium etc) is preferred\n\nKnowledge of FPGA design using VHDL/Verilog, including simulation and verification, is preferred\n\nTravel \n\nSome travel to Nordson sites both in the UK and overseas.
