What you'll do As a Senior Building Surveyor, you'll lead on delivering major and reactive works across our homes, using your expertise to ensure properties are maintained to the highest standards. You'll provide detailed building consultancy services, manage complex projects, and support the development of our new Repairs Strategy. This is a leadership role where you'll mentor surveyors, drive service improvements, and help shape the future of our repairs function. How you'll do it • Manage complex programmes of work, ensuring delivery on time and within budget., • Conduct full building surveys and prepare detailed reports, specifications, and cost analyses., • Prepare tender documents and advise on contractor appointments and procurement routes., • Oversee performance of repair contractors, using data and insight to drive improvements., • Provide technical advice on major repairs, defects, cyclical works, FRA, EPC, and other contracted works., • Act as party wall surveyor and prepare planning applications as required., • Review design specifications for new developments and sign off at key stages., • Mentor surveyors and support professional development within your team. If not already qualified, there may be an expectation to study towards a professional qualification. Essential: • Senior surveying qualification (e.g., BSc/MSc), Chartered Membership of RICS or CIOB, • In-depth post-qualification experience providing services to residential property owners and managers, • Significant experience in project management of major works, including cost appraisal, • Experience in managing a team, • Experience in contractor management in delivery of damp and mould work Once you join us, you'll find plenty of opportunities to grow within our organisation.
