Our flagship event just achieved an industry-leading Net Promoter Score of +71. About the role: We are seeking a bright, highly personable graduate to join us as a Junior Content & Event Producer. This is a hybrid role combining: • Content research – understanding the priorities of digital and data leaders in government;, • Relationship development – engaging directly with public-sector stakeholders to shape our events;, • Event production – helping design, build and deliver high-quality conferences, workshops and editorial content. You will work closely with colleagues who already manages deep relationships across government's digital, data and technology community, and you will receive extensive support, coaching and exposure. Key Responsibilities Research & Content Development • Track the transformation priorities of senior digital, data, technology and service-design leaders across UK government., • Assist in designing event themes, agenda structures and content briefs that reflect live government challenges., • Prepare guest briefs, talking points and background notes for interviews, fireside chats, breakout rooms and discussion tables., • Contribute to editorial articles, speaker profiles, and pre/post-event content. Stakeholder Engagement • Support relationship-building with central and local government DDaT teams., • Join video calls and in-person meetings with senior public-sector leaders (alongside experienced colleagues)., • Assist with speaker outreach, follow-ups and diary management., • Maintain accurate records of stakeholder interactions and insights. Event Production • Help build conference programmes, select contributors and coordinate logistics with internal colleagues., • Support the delivery of conferences, workshops and meet-ups — including on-site support at live events., • Help manage delegate communications and ensure a seamless participant experience., • Assist in post-event reporting, insight capture and follow-up. Technical Knowledge/Skills As an experienced Web Application Developer you will be used to writing high quality software primarily using PHP. Having great software engineering skills and problem solving abilities are more important to us than knowing specific frameworks or libraries. We have a large codebase, so we do maintain an amount of legacy code, but we are continually moving forward and refactoring, so any new code is always using the latest PHP language features. AI assisted development has become a core part of the team's skill set and we regularly use AI to write or assist on new features, however we have a mantra that our developers still 100% own their code whether they have created it with or without AI assistance. While we do use AI code review we always make sure another member of the team owns the peer review. As experienced software engineers, testing is very important to us and we will always complement our code with appropriate test coverage. These can be a combination of unit, functional and integration tests. These tests form part of our continuous integration platform and automatically test our code as part of our continuous deployment process. We make extensive use of Continuous Integration using Jenkins, so it would be advantageous for you to have worked in a team using CI. Our development and production stack all uses Docker, so experience here is very helpful. Role Overview We’re looking for a UI/UX Designer to join our team and help us design clear, thoughtful experiences across our products. You’ll work closely with the product team, engineers, and marketing to turn ideas and requirements into intuitive user flows, well-crafted interfaces, and polished UI. You’ll contribute to wireframes, prototypes, and final designs, help maintain and evolve our design system, and support the marketing team with high-quality UI assets for launches and campaigns. Along the way, you’ll take part in research, feedback sessions, and design reviews - learning, iterating, and helping us continually improve how our products look and feel and deliver real value for the people who use them. Responsibilities • Designing end-to-end flows using our existing design system, • Providing everything required for dev-handoff, • Communicating with the product-development team to ensure that the delivered product matches initial UX expectations, • Working with the product team to validate design proposals through UX testing, • Designing new features and improvements for existing products, • Adapting our design system to accommodate new components, • Collaborate closely with product director, product architect, engineers, and developers to iterate on solutions and refine designs, • Support the marketing team by providing UI assets, such as product screenshots, mockups, feature-in-action videos and visual elements for websites, campaigns, and launch materials, • Participate in design critiques and team reviews, incorporating feedback to improve design quality and craft, • Stay curious and up to date with UX, UI, and product design trends, tools, and best practices What We’re Looking For • Experience designing responsive digital products., • A strong portfolio of user-led work., • Strong communication skills, capable of presenting ideas clearly., • Experience working with tools such as Figma and Miro., • A strong understanding of user-centred design principles., • Familiarity with working with design systems.
