53rd Floor Sky Lounge, Wardian, Canary Wharf E14 Full-time | Tips & Service Charge | Immediate start 🌆 Most bars have a view or a community. The Observatory has both - 53 floors above London. The Observatory is a Sky Bar & Restaurant on the 53rd floor of Wardian, looking out over Canary Wharf and the whole of London. It's one of the highest bars in the city - and it's exclusively for the developments residents & their guests. That last part is what makes this job different from every other bar manager role you'll scroll past today (well maybe the views as well). You're not serving a queue of strangers. You're looking after a community of around 1,500 residents & their guests who treat this as their local, their living room and their party venue. Regulars come in weekly. We're looking for someone to take real ownership of it. 🚀 THE ROLE You'll run The Observatory day to day - leading the team, keeping cocktail and service standards high, and being the face residents come to. Alongside that, the venue hosts a busy year-round events calendar: birthdays, engagements, weddings, seasonal parties and private hires, plus the events we programme ourselves. To be clear about the events side: you're the host, not the event planner. Our dedicated events team handles the logistics, the planning and the bigger productions. Your part is being the person residents talk to, helping shape the drinks and the feel of the night, and delivering it brilliantly on the day. If you've worked functions or private hires before, you'll be right at home. If you're a superb bartender who's keen to grow into that side, we'll teach you. We open at 4pm on weekdays and midday at weekends. No breakfast shifts, no 3am finishes, no split shifts., • Genuine ownership of a unique venue rather than one site among many, • 📈 Room to grow. We're a multi-site London group - Supershakes, Beringers, Lockdown, The Eleventh Hour - and we'd far rather promote from within than recruit in., • Involvement in menu development, supplier tastings and the events programme, • Staff food and drinks on shift, plus discounts across all our venues, • Support from an experienced events and senior hospitality team, • A team that actually enjoys working together, • days holiday 🔥 WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR • Solid bartending experience, ideally with time in a management or senior role, • Strong cocktail knowledge and consistency under pressure, • Some experience of events, functions or private hires - or real appetite to learn it, • A natural host who genuinely likes people and remembers them, • Organised, proactive and comfortable owning a space, • Calm and confident through a busy service, • Someone who cares about the details, because our regulars notice them And honestly: we're looking for someone who wants to stay. Building a relationship with a community of regulars takes time, and it's the best part of this job - but only if you're here long enough to enjoy it. If you're looking for somewhere to settle, put your stamp on and grow with, this is it. ⚡ WHY THIS ONE There aren't many jobs like this in London. One shift you're making cocktails for a couple who come in every Friday. The next you're helping them plan their engagement party, 53 floors above the city. If that sounds like the kind of place you'd like to run, we'd love to meet you. Apply now and let's have a chat 👋

🎹 GENERAL MANAGER - BERINGERS All-day brasserie and piano bar | London City Island, E14 Full-time | Salary plus tips and service charge | [Bonus Scheme | Immediate start In 1895, a man called Guy Beringer wrote a letter to the press complaining about Sunday lunch. He had a point. Victorian Sundays meant getting up early for a heavy, joyless meal, usually while regretting the night before. Beringer proposed something better: push the whole thing back to midday, combine breakfast and lunch, and let people linger. He called it brunch. His argument was never really about food. Breakfast, he wrote, suits solitude. Brunch is cheerful, sociable, talk-compelling. It sweeps away the worries and cobwebs of the week. He finished with a postscript that we've taken rather seriously: beer and whiskey are admitted as substitutes for tea and coffee. We named the place after him. Beringers is our attempt to build brunch the way he actually meant it - not a queue and a 90-minute table turn, but a long, unhurried, sociable affair that starts with coffee and has no particular obligation to end. ☕ FOUR MONTHS IN We opened on London City Island at the start of this year, and it has gone better than we hoped. The room has found its people. Residents who come in every week. Tables that book at midday and are still there at six, having moved from brunch to a bottle of wine to the terrace for a spritz. Late nights at the bar where nobody's watching the clock. The regulars know our team by name and, increasingly, know each other. Our opening team has built something genuinely special from a standing start, and we're proud of them. Now we want to take it to the next level - and for that we need a General Manager. 🍸 THE VENUE All-day brasserie. Doors at 7am for coffee and the Pantry, through brunch and lunch, into a full evening menu. Signature dishes people come back for: Duck and Egg Waffles, the wild mushroom omelette, Nduja Toast. Piano bar. A baby grand at the heart of the room, live performances several times a week, and a proper cocktail list. Our Piano Plates are the signature - tapas-style sharing dishes built to be picked at slowly with a drink in the other hand. Terrace. Where a long lunch quietly becomes an evening. Events. Concert Nights, Uncork and Unwind wine tastings, tribute evenings, festival collaborations, private hires and the 1895 Club membership programme. There's a calendar, and it's growing. Full table service throughout. This is a restaurant, run properly. 🎶 ONE THING THAT MATTERS MORE HERE THAN MOST PLACES Music sets the room. It's the single biggest lever you have over how Beringers feels, and we take it seriously. The right playlist at 8am is not the right playlist at 8pm. Sunday afternoon is not Friday night. Knowing when to lift the room, when to let it settle, when to turn it up because the bar has found its second wind - that's a craft, and we want a GM who has it. You'll also work with our resident musicians and programme the live schedule alongside our events team. If you've ever changed a playlist mid-service because the room needed something else, you'll know exactly what we mean. 🚀 THE ROLE You'll take full ownership of Beringers City Island, reporting directly to senior management. Running the floor. Leading service from the pass to the door, at the standard we've set. Present in the room, known to the regulars, hands on when it counts. Leading the team. Recruiting, training, developing and retaining a front of house team that's already good and can be better. Rotas, structure, clear standards and a culture people want to stay in. The commercial side. Full P&L accountability: revenue, GP, labour cost, stock and controls. You'll be given real numbers, real targets and real autonomy to hit them. Growing covers. Building the reservations book, the regulars, the events diary and the 1895 Club. Making a busy Tuesday as good as a busy Saturday. Working with the kitchen. A genuine partnership on menu development, execution and consistency. The unglamorous but essential. Food safety, health and safety, licensing, compliance, reviews and everything else that keeps a venue running properly. Shaping what's next. Menus, events, ideas, the evening offer. We're four months old. There's plenty still to write, and we want a GM with opinions. 🔥 WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR • Proven experience as a General Manager, or a strong Assistant GM or Restaurant Manager ready to step up, • Genuine restaurant background - full table service, food-led, quality-driven, • Real commercial confidence. Comfortable with a P&L, labour percentages, GP and stock, • A leader people want to work for. We'd rather hear about a team you developed than a team you managed, • A natural host who understands that regulars are built one conversation at a time, • Instinctive about atmosphere - music, lighting, pace, energy, • Bar and cocktail knowledge, or the enthusiasm to get properly involved, • Personal Licence holder preferred, or willing to obtain one, • Someone who wants to build something rather than maintain it You do not need a piano bar on your CV. You need to care about rooms that feel good and people who come back. WHAT WE OFFER • Salary reviewed as the site grows. (Inc. performance bonus scheme), • Tips and service charge, • Real autonomy. This is your site to run, not a script to follow., • A group that's growing. Beringers Wandsworth opens this winter, and The Bull Group also runs Lockdown, Supershakes, The Observatory and The Eleventh Hour across London. We promote from within wherever we can, and there's a genuine path here for someone who wants one., • A Sunday & Monday close at 5pm, which in an all-day restaurant is rarer than it sounds, • Food and drinks on shift, plus discounts across every venue in the group, • Involvement in menu development, supplier tastings and the events programme, • Direct access to senior management. Small group, short decision chain, ideas get heard., • 28 days holiday ⚡ WHY THIS ONE Most General Manager jobs in London are about maintaining something that already exists. This one is four months old, in a growing group, with a story worth telling, a room people are already protective of, and enough left to build that your fingerprints will be all over it a year from now. If that's the job you've been waiting for, we'd like to hear from you. 👋 HOW TO APPLY Hit apply and send us a short message about why you'd be good for this GM role at Beringers. We read every application and reply to everyone. From there it's a short call, then we'd love to have you in - see the venue, meet the team, have a coffee and a proper conversation about where Beringers goes next. Beringers, 45 Hope Street, Leamouth Peninsula, London E14 0QG. Part of The Bull Group.

London's highest piano lounge | 53rd floor, Wardian, Canary Wharf E14 Full-time | Tips and service charge | Immediate start Some bars have a view. This one has all of them 🌇🍸💫 Fifty-three floors up, the windows wrap the whole way round. Canary Wharf on one side, Greenwich on the other, and the full London skyline laid out in between. On the right evening the cloud sits below the glass and the room feels genuinely untethered from the city underneath it. That is where you'd be making drinks. The Observatory is London's highest piano & cocktail lounge. Live piano, a proper cocktail list, and a food menu built to be eaten slowly with friends. We opened just over a year ago and have spent that time turning it into something people are quietly protective of. We're now looking for a Bar Manager to take charge of the bar and carry that on. 🎹 THE VENUE The Observatory sits at the top of Wardian, exclusively for the residents of the two towers below it. Around 2,000 people have access, and a good number of them are in every week. That changes the job completely. You're not turning over strangers. You're building a room of regulars who know your name and expect you to know theirs, and who will tell you honestly what they think of the new menu. It has the warmth of a members' club without any of the stiffness. The bar itself is the centerpiece of the venue and deliberately so. That means the Bar Manager here spends most of their time exactly where they should be: behind the bar, making drinks, talking to guests, with an eye across the whole venue. This is not a role that disappears into an office. Live piano is weekly and our signature 'Piano Plates' are a tapas-style sharing menu designed to be picked at across a long evening with a cocktail in the other hand. Food runs seven days. 🥃 YOUR CRAFT, VALUED If you care about what goes in the glass, you'll be somewhere it counts. We want someone with genuine opinions about dilution, about garnish, about the difference between a drink that's technically correct and one that's actually good. You'll have real input into the list, work directly with suppliers, and build seasonal serves that sit properly alongside the food and the piano. The room gives you permission to be ambitious. Guests come here for an occasion, they're not in a rush, and they'll try what you recommend. That's a rare thing and it's wasted on someone who just wants to pour. 🚀 THE ROLE You'll run the bar. Standards, stock, ordering, prep, consistency. The cocktail quality is yours to own and yours to push. You'll lead a small team. A handful of people, hands-on, side by side. You'll set the standard by working to it rather than talking about it, and train the team properly as they come through. You'll host. Learning names, remembering orders, reading the room. The best nights here are the ones where the manager is visibly enjoying themselves. You'll support events. The Observatory hosts a steady calendar of private hires, birthdays, engagements, weddings and seasonal parties. To be clear: our events team handles the planning and the logistics. Your part is the drinks, the bar and the delivery on the night, plus being the familiar face residents come to first. Events experience is a bonus, not a barrier - if you've got the bartending and the hosting, we'll bring you up to speed on the rest. You'll help shape what's next. Menus, promotions, ideas for the room. We're a year in and still building. You'd be joining early enough for your fingerprints to be on it. --- 💥 WHAT WE OFFER • Sociable hours. We open at 4pm on weekdays, midday at weekends. No breakfast shifts, no split shifts, no 3am finishes., • Tips and service charge, • Real ownership of a venue with a genuine identity, not a site on a spreadsheet, • Input that goes somewhere. Menu development, supplier tastings, seasonal launches, • Room to progress. We're a growing London group - Beringers, Lockdown, Supershakes, The Eleventh Hour - and we promote from within wherever we can, • Staff food and drinks on shift, plus discounts across every venue, • The backing of an experienced events and senior management team, • Immediate start available 🔥 WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR • Strong bartending behind you, ideally with time in a senior or management role, • Real cocktail knowledge and the consistency to deliver it on a full Saturday, • Comfortable leading a small team by example, • A natural host. Warm, present, genuinely interested in people, • Organised enough to run the operational side without being asked twice, • Calm through a busy service and a full events diary, • Someone who notices the detail, because our regulars absolutely do You don't need years of events management. You don't need a group background. If you're an excellent bartender who wants to run a room and look after people properly, that's the person we're looking for. ⚡ ONE MORE THING We'd like this to be a long stay. Everything good about this job compounds. The regulars, the reputation of the room, the events diary, the list you build. A year in, it's a genuinely different job to the one you start. That only pays off for someone who wants to stay and build it, and we'd rather be honest about that now than six months in. If you're looking for the next step rather than the next stopgap, this is one of the best rooms in London to take it in. 👋 HOW TO APPLY Hit apply, and tell us one drink you'd put on our list. That's the whole application. One drink, one line on why. We read every one and reply to everyone. If it looks like a fit, we'll set up a quick video chat, then get you in to see the place, meet the team and take in the view - followed by a paid trial shift so you can decide for yourself. The 53rd floor is very difficult to describe and very easy to show you.
