We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on various types of buildings. Responsibilities • Install new roofing systems using a variety of materials including shingles, metal, and flat roofing membranes, • Repair and replace damaged or worn roofing components to ensure structural integrity and weatherproofing, • Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints to execute roofing projects accurately, • Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment safely and efficiently, • Fabricate custom components as needed using welding, carpentry, or masonry techniques, • Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and perform necessary maintenance or repairs, • Work at heights on ladders, scaffolding, or roofs while adhering strictly to safety protocols, • Assist in the preparation of work sites by removing debris and ensuring safe access, • Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings related to roofing projects, • Experience with welding, fabrication, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and construction practices is desirable, • Skilled in the use of hand tools such as hammers, chisels, screwdrivers, and measuring devices, • Competent with power tools including drills, saws, and nail guns, • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during material handling and installation tasks, • Knowledge of safety standards for working at heights and around construction sites, • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for precise installation work
