We are looking for a hard-working, passionate, and upbeat person to join our fantastic team at Town Square Spaces. TownSq are a B-Corp who support freelancers, new company directors and aspiring entrepreneurs in starting-up, raising investment and growing their businesses. We do this through providing spaces, business support and admin support. TownSq are working in collaboration with the Royal Borough of Kingston to create a beautiful collaborative, flexible and innovative workspace right on the riverside. The role of the Hub Manager will be to build a strong entrepreneurial community within the space which can integrate into the wider ecosystem, bringing benefit to people, places and communities across Kingston and beyond. We are looking for someone who is confident and competent in running the business from top to bottom, with entrepreneurial flair and a drive to create something very special. The main responsibilities of the role are: • Managing the team and supporting the wider business, • Working towards sales targets and report delivery for space occupancy and membership, • Raising the profile of both TownSq and the space alongside the marketing strategy, • Organising business focussed events, • Developing and maintaining stakeholder networks, • Working effectively within operational budgets, • Day to day running of a commercial building You will be obsessed with creating inclusive, welcoming and comfortable spaces for people to gather, work and collaborate. You will have a keen eye for detail, a nose for customer service and be a natural host. You will also get excited about creating and implementing ideas and campaigns to get people involved with the space. You will be the sort of person who is first in the space to get the coffee on and last out offering umbrellas out if it's raining. You might not know it all yet, but you will have a thirst for knowledge and be open to learning all about how to support early-stage entrepreneurs to grow and develop, and the international trends across the global start-up world. There is no traditional career path to this role, and no pre-requisite qualifications – you may have been involved in enterprise support, you may have trained in hospitality, you may be an estate agent, or a lawyer who fancies a change - attitude is key for us. If you are willing to think as an entrepreneur thinks, you are already at an advantage. Having experience in the commercial operations of a building and a good understanding of Kingston and the surrounding areas would be advantageous but not essential. The role is a full time positions and the salary for this post will be between £34,000 – £36,000 with a monthly target bonus. Job Description We are seeking a proactive and experienced Project Manager to play a key role in managing the reporting and monitoring processes for a high-profile National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) portfolio of translational, clinical, and applied health research infrastructure funding schemes. The successful candidate will also provide essential project management support across the team’s wider activities. Reporting to the Senior Research Manager for Infrastructure Monitoring and Evaluation and working closely with others, the post holder will project manage the infrastructure award reporting and monitoring activities. Infrastructure award holders report to NIHR on the progress of their awards on an annual, or in some cases quarterly, basis. The postholder will plan and ensure delivery of the end-to-end process, including the creation of reporting templates, collection of reports, their review by appropriate NIHR teams and the provision of feedback to award holders. Working with the Assistant Director of Research Infrastructure, the postholder will also provide project management support for key team activities, including business planning and budget management. You will liaise with internal and external stakeholders, and interact with teams across NIHR to develop and coordinate activities. We are looking for someone with a broad perspective of academia, funding, and health related policy. You should be confident interacting with your peers and the external scientific community; able to demonstrate critical thinking, and an ability to influence and build productive relationships. Meticulous project management skills, with the ability to deliver multiple priorities simultaneously, is essential. Key Responsibilities : • Project Management for the Infrastructure Annual Reporting Programme: project manage the end-to-end delivery of the Infrastructure Annual Reporting cycle, including planning, ensuring input from various teams across NIHR and conducting appropriate team briefings. You will work closely with the Senior Programme Analyst, and Senior Research Manager and Research Manager for monitoring and evaluation in the Infrastructure team, who manage the development of annual reporting templates and the use of submitted data., • Infrastructure Team Project Management: support the team’s forward business planning and monitoring of progress against milestones; support the budget planning; maintain the team’s SOPs and workflows; and provide project planning and management on ad hoc projects., • Flexible support to team and community: conduct additional administration tasks and provide a high level of support across the team at peak work times. Qualifications & Experience Required Criteria: • A Masters or PhD degree in biomedical or health sciences research (or significant equivalent sector experience), • Some experience of working in one of the following environments: Major research funding/management environment; Project management within the NHS or HEIs or clinical trial/study coordination or applied health areas; Pharma/biotech; Academic environment, • Experience of project management with excellent planning and organisational skills, able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks, working to challenging targets and deadlines, • Evidence of ability to write reports, SOPs and briefing documents, data analysis skills, demonstrating excellent attention to detail, • Team player with an ability to build effective working relationships Desirable Criteria: • Current knowledge of the UK’s health and care research and policy landscape, • Formal project management qualifications, • Experience in the research/grants management, • Experience in stakeholder management within and across multiple organisations Compensation, Benefits & Working Arrangements: • Salary: £40,300 to £42,600 pa, • Location: Twickenham, London / Hybrid working model, • Contract Type: Full Time,12 months fixed term contract, • Working Hours: 7.5 hours per day, • Annual Leave: 25 days, plus UK public holidays Employee Benefits Include: • Annual bonus, subject to company performance, • Enhanced Contributory Pension Scheme, • Life Insurance Cover, • Benenden Healthcare Membership, • Training and Development Opportunities, • Season Ticket Loan We offer a range of work life balance and family friendly, flexible working arrangements. This will be including pre-submission meetings, pre-IND meetings, Scientific advice and type B/C meetings with the FDA., • Support both early and late-stage development activities CTAs, IND, ODD, PIPS, IND, IMPD, and initial MAAs., • Confident in doing submissions in global markets with a main focus on the UK, EU, US, and ROW., • Support and lead cross functional team discussions with medical, quality, PV, and other departments. Requirements: • A scientific degree is essential., • Proven track record of leading successful European (CP, DCP, MRP), European national and US submissions., • Confident in leading global RA strategies., • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and external environments as it applies to project specific global regulatory strategy document (GRSD) delivery., • Ability to drive new regulatory approaches to improve and expedite development products submissions to meet business/project objectives and patient needs., • Ability to clearly convey and exchange information with internal and external stakeholders. This role is a very senior role within the regulatory team and within any other business, it may be titled an Associate Director.
