What You’ll Do As a Piping Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the development and coordination of piping designs on large-scale nuclear infrastructure projects. You will play a key role in the design, specification, and integration of piping systems, ensuring they meet all safety, operational, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities • Develop and update 3D piping models, isometrics, and general arrangement drawings using design tools such as E3D, PDMS, or CATIA., • Define and maintain line routing, supports, and materials in accordance with project specifications., • Produce and review piping deliverables including layout drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation., • Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards (e.g. RCC-M, ASME B31.3, PED)., • Conduct clash detection, design validation, and interface coordination with mechanical, civil, and electrical teams., • Participate in design and safety reviews, providing technical expertise and resolving design-related issues., • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to clarify requirements and manage design changes., • Support as-built documentation and provide input to commissioning and maintenance planning where required.Conduct layout reviews and clash detection to ensure design integrity Who You Are • Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline, • Experience in piping design engineering for nuclear or other highly regulated industries (e.g. oil & gas, energy, chemical)., • Proficient in 3D CAD tools (e.g., PDMS, E3D, CATIA, or similar), • Solid understanding of piping layout principles, stress considerations, and support design, • Familiarity with relevant nuclear or industrial regulations and standards, • Strong communication and coordination skills, with attention to detail Why ABMI UK We offer the agility of a close-knit team backed by the strength of a European group.
