An internal sales position focusing on bearings and industrial spares is a fast-paced role that acts as the primary link between customers and the engineering or supply chain teams. You will be responsible for providing expert solutions across product lines like seals, belts, power transmission, lubricants, pneumatics and fasteners. Based in Dudley at the companies NDC, the successful candidate will engage with current trade customers offering a wide variety of different products. The role is primarily internally based. Job Summary The Internal Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth by managing inbound enquiries, providing technical product recommendations, and ensuring accurate order fulfillment. This role requires a blend of commercial awareness and technical proficiency to support both existing clients and new customers. Key Responsibilities • Technical Enquiries & Quotations: Respond to customer RFQs (Requests for Quotation) by reviewing drawings or specifications to provide accurate product estimates and technical data sheets., • Order Management: Process sales orders efficiently via CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, OGL) and coordinate with the warehouse or project managers for timely delivery., • Customer Relationship Management: Build trust and loyalty with clients through phone, email, and virtual meetings, ensuring their needs are met with tailored solutions., • Proactive Sales: Identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling relevant industrial parts and follow up on outstanding quotes to convert them into orders., • Stock & Inventory Support: Monitor stock levels using computer systems, check in goods received, and occasionally assist at the trade counter with product identification., • Collaboration: Work closely with external sales engineers to provide technical support and help develop account strategies. Required Skills & Qualifications • Experience: 3+ years in industrial sales, internal sales, or customer service is preferred, especially within the bearings or power transmission industry., • Technical Aptitude: Ability to read engineering drawings/enquiries and use measuring tools like calipers to identify part specs., • Communication: Strong verbal and written skills for negotiating prices and articulating product benefits., • IT Proficiency: Competence in Microsoft Office (Excel) and CRM software is essential., • Attributes: Results-driven, highly organised, and capable of multitasking in a high-pressure environment. Typical Work Schedule • Hours: Generally Monday to Friday, either 08:30 to 17:00, or 9.00 to 5.30pm with occasional Saturday Rota depending on the branch, currently 1 in 8., • Setting: Primarily office-based with visits to existing customers encouraged.
