Manufacturing & Dispatch Operative \n Sheffield£28,974 + Industry-Leading Bonus Scheme (OTE £37,974) \n Reed Engineering & Manufacturing are working with a leading Engineering & Metals company in Sheffield who are looking to recruit a Manufacturing & Dispatch Operative to join their growing team. \n This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and highly successful business that rewards performance, offers extensive training, and provides an industry-leading profit-related bonus scheme worth up to £9,000 per year, paid quarterly. \n The Role \n As a Warehouse & Dispatch Operative, you will play a key role in the receipt, storage, traceability, picking, packing and dispatch of high-value engineering materials. Working within a quality-driven manufacturing environment, you will ensure materials are handled safely, accurately and in line with company procedures and customer requirements. \n Key Responsibilities \n\n • Inspect incoming raw materials and complete goods-in checks.\n, • Safely move and store materials throughout the facility.\n, • Pick and prepare materials for production and customer orders.\n, • Maintain accurate stock records and update internal systems.\n, • Ensure full material traceability through labelling and identification processes.\n, • Pack products to exceptionally high standards, including palletising, shrink wrapping and banding.\n, • Assist with stock control and perpetual inventory checks.\n, • Operate overhead cranes and forklift trucks safely and efficiently.\n, • Support loading and unloading activities.\n, • Assist with continuous improvement and 6S workplace organisation initiatives.\n, • Follow all Health & Safety, quality and security procedures.\n, • Report equipment defects, incidents and near misses promptly.\n, • Maintain high housekeeping standards throughout the warehouse and dispatch areas.\n\n Skills & Experience Required \n\n • Previous warehouse, stores, dispatch metals or materials handling experience.\n, • Experience within manufacturing, engineering, metals or industrial environments would be advantageous.\n, • Forklift Truck experience is desirable.\n, • Overhead crane experience is desirable.\n, • Good attention to detail and accuracy.\n, • Strong understanding of health and safety practices.\n, • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.\n, • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.\n, • Good communication skills and willingness to learn.\n\n What's On Offer? \n\n • Competitive salary of £28,974\n, • Profit-related bonus scheme worth up to £9,000 per year\n, • Quarterly bonus payments\n, • OTE of £37,974\n, • Full training and development\n, • Stable, long-term employment with a market-leading business\n, • Modern manufacturing environment\n, • Opportunity to develop specialist materials handling skills\n\n
