SEN Tutor\n Salary: £31,000 - £34,500 per day (Depending on Experience)\n Contract: Full-time permanent \n Hours: 35 Hours per week\n Location: Hounslow \n\nAbout the Role\n\nWe are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Tutor to join a specialist post-16 education setting supporting young people aged 16-25 with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The provision supports learners working at Entry Level 3 to Level 2, with a strong focus on progression into supported internships, employment, and independent living.\n\nThis role is ideal for a practitioner who is passionate about improving life outcomes for young adults with additional needs. You will deliver personalised, engaging learning that develops functional skills, employability skills, confidence, and independence.\n\nA key part of the role involves preparing learners for adulthood and work through structured employability pathways, including work experience, travel training, interview preparation, and life skills development.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nPlan and deliver individualised, differentiated lessons using the RARPA framework for mixed-ability SEN learners, supporting progression towards internships.\nIntegrate English, Maths, PSHE, and British Values into teaching, alongside delivering PSHE and life skills to promote independence and wellbeing.\nDevelop learners' employability skills, including CV writing, interview preparation, workplace behaviour, and support with travel training and community independence.\nAssess, track, and evidence learner progress using RARPA, maintaining accurate ILPs and contributing to reviews and reports.\nCollaborate with staff on curriculum development and placements, while ensuring safeguarding, behaviour, and health & safety policies are followed.About You\n\nWe are looking for someone who is:\n\nA teaching qualification (Level 5 DET) is desirable, or willingness to work towards one.\nExperienced in working with SEN learners or young adults with additional needs \nConfident delivering differentiated, learner-centred teaching, with a passion for independence and life skills development. \nKnowledgeable in functional English and Maths, also skilled at building positive, supportive relationships with learners \nOrganised, reflective, and committed to high-quality teaching and learner progressAdditional Information\n\nEnhanced DBS check required (Child & Adult workforce) \nCommitment to safeguarding and inclusion essential \n30 hours CPD per year expected \nFlexible working may be required, including occasional evening events How to Apply\n\nTo apply or request further information, please submit your CV or contact Deji at Veritas Education London.\n\nTelephone: (phone number removed)\n\nEmail: (url removed)\n\nAPPLICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR VERITAS EDUCATION\n\nAll applications are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, professional reference checks, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) in line with our stringent safeguarding policy\nYour CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and all employment breaks must be explained\nYou must have legal right to work in the UK\nYou must be willing to attend a registration interviewVeritas Education work with a variety of schools covering a wide geographical area.
