Validation Engineer (Mechanical) required for a 12 months contract working fully onsite in Stafford. \n \n This is a contract role Inside IR35 with an Umbrella pay rate of £47.00 per hour (or £34.00 per hour PAYE). \n \n Applicants must have 3 years’ experience of validating Mechanical Components used on complex Dynamic machinery. \n \n Responsibilities \n \n\n • Mechanical Verification and Validation of Diesel engines, components and systems.\n, • Working on multiple engines at different stages of development, coming into production at different times.\n, • Defining and managing engine, system and component validation plans.\n, • Working on Full Engine Validation.\n, • End to End in getting the engine prepped.\n, • Overseeing the Whole Engine put through Durability Validation Activities.\n, • Coordination of day-to-day engineering activity and management of test and analysis activity.\n, • Failure analysis and defect resolution.\n, • Technical reporting.\n, • Supporting Design / Development through FMEA process.\n, • Working closely with Design Engineers, Calibration Engineers, Test Engineers at other UK and Overseas facilities. Occasional overseas travel may be necessary.\n\n \n Requirements \n \n\n • 3 years’ experience of validating Mechanical Component and Mechanical Systems.\n, • Must have worked on Validating / Verification / Development of big machines or components that are part of Complex Dynamic Machinery.\n, • Will consider Automotive Components, Aerospace Components, Rail Vehicle or High Value Components & Whole Sub-Systems.\n, • Ideally candidates would have been a Diesel Engine Validation Engineer or would have been in a Development Engineer role dealing with Diesel Engines, but as a minimum, all candidates Must have a fundamental understanding of how a Diesel Engine / Internal Combustion Engine works.\n, • Must have experience of Component Validation Processes.\n, • Must have experience in Route Cause Analysis.\n, • Must have experience using Data Analysis Tools such as CANape or CANcase or other Data Acquisition / Data Analysis tools.\n, • Must have experience of Technical Report Writing, using Microsoft Office.\n\n
