Contract role - HSE Manager (Inside IR35) Duration - 4 months initial (Sick cover) Location - Stafford Candidate must be French and English speaking • HSE Manager is responsible for ensuring that an organization and its employees adhere to EHS standards, • HSE Manager is responsible for shaping and maintaining organizations’ safety culture. His/her duties include implementing organizational safety rules, promoting a culture of safety in the workplace and performing regular site inspections to check compliance in order to prevent incidents, minimize resource leakage, improves efficiency and employees satisfaction, at all levels., • HSE Manager shall conduct safety training for relevant employees at the site. He/she also collaborates with other departments such as GSC operations, facility management, quality, etc. EHS Manager work across various department within the business, reviewing safety measures to save lives and improve working standards., • Develop and implement the HSE strategy aligned with corporate goals and local regulatory requirements for his/her site, • Lead EHS performance for his/her site, supporting his/her cross-functional site leadership team, • Drive continuous improvement through performance metrics, audits, and risk assessments, • Review and build safety risks assessments applicable for the task, • Review all work procedures and ensuring they meet GA and industry safety standards, • Ensure full compliance with UK EHS laws, regulations, and company policies., • Monitor legislative changes and assess their impact on business operations., • Establish injury prevention initiatives focused on world-class health and safety performance and responsible for conducting incident investigations., • Feedback on lessons learned and best practice from other and GA sites to management and employees., • Reports on EHS performance and progress on implementation of EHS objectives and key performance indicators, • Overseeing and ensuring safe work of external contractors, • Conducting in-house training sessions on health and safety awareness, • Act as an Ambassador by Planning/Implementing/Reviewing/ Monitoring of EHS Management System, • Interact with other sites and EHS Managers in order to share and leverage best practice, • Develop/Support for Risk Assessment, • Review & Verification of EHS Plan/Risk Assessment, • Responsible to review the applicable Life Saving Rules as per the portfolio and implement the procedures and Legal EHS requirements, • Responsible for identification and timely submission of all applicable EHS permits required for the site operation, • Develop site emergency response plan and incident management team. Ensure appropriate emergency plan is in place on a regular basis (drills on potential emergencies, identification and tracking of action closure, etc.), • Responsible for being the health and safety focal point for employee representatives and committee, • Preparing EHS topics to be presented for the employee representative meetings, • Presenting the EHS matters in the employee representative meetings, • Addressing EHS concerns raised by employee representative, • Collaborating with the employee representative to promote a safe and health work environment, • Understand High Risk operations, EHS Core Requirement & Technical Standards, • Lead implementation of FW3.0, including nominating, training, coaching, and following-up element owner, • Develop action plans wherever gap identified, in collaboration with relevant element owners., • Coordinate ISO 14001 and other environmental certifications and audits, • Environmental Management, • Oversee environmental programs including waste management, emissions, energy use, and sustainability initiatives, • Conducts accidents/incidents investigation and identify the preventative action to be implemented at site, • Supports Genba Walks;, • Contractor Managemen, • Prepare/Track/Follow EHS Inspection Plans, • Prepare/Track/Follow Quarterly Genba Walk Plans, • Assign trainings to employees based on the job profile through GE Vernova Learning, • Manage Training of Contingent Workers/Sub Contractors based on the job profile and tasks. Qualifications: • · Masters degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field., • Minimum 5 years of progressive EHS experience in a multinational or industrial setting, • Strong knowledge of French and EU EHS regulations., • Certification in ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or equivalent standards is a plus., • Proven leadership skills and experience managing cross-site teams., • Excellent communication skills in French and English (written and verbal).

OSA is an updated version on Openreach’s former ONSA contract and includes full regional ownership of most network upgrade programmes, network maintenance and repair activities on behalf of Openreach. JOB OBJECTIVE Reporting to and directed by the Area Manager you will support our civils delivery teams to ensure all safety, compliance and quality standards are met through a defined audit and inspection regime set out by the business, liaising with our clients and members of the public on a daily basis. KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • To always promote a positive and professional image of the department, by adhering to company policies, procedures, and standards., • Supervision of infield day-to-day project delivery within geographical area, including delivery to client requirements, safety, quality, street works, supplier performance and improvement across supply chain and direct labour resource., • Ensuring that service level measures are achieved on a basis my both sub-contractors and direct labour resource and manage risk according should this arise., • Work with the supply chain on a daily/weekly basis ensuring that all works are fluid for execution against the required service level measures., • Ensure all emergency response works are made safe within the required 2-hour response time., • Engage with local authorities to ensure a positive working relationship., • Be the infield catalyst for works being executed to the correct standard and therefore preventing any Section 72 Defects., • Take responsibility to ensure that all Section 72 Defects are remedied within 14 calendar days., • Promote a safe working culture by executing a minimum of 2 site safety checks a week., • Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, quality failures and service deterioration trends., • Raising and following up on non-conformance reports, to ensure that any actions identified, pursued, and resolved., • To attend joint site meeting at the request of customers or utility providers for hot job assessments PERSON SPECIFICAITON • Have strong planning, organisation, and monitoring abilities., • Full UK Driving License which has been continuously held for 12 months or more, with no more than 6 points., • A legal right to work in the UK., • Knowledge of Openreach networks, and particularly a civils and UG background would be advantageous., • Experience in related industry., • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel., • NRSWA Supervisor Units.
