The Role You will own the end-to-end fulfilment operation from mid-week preparation through to Sunday dispatch. This means managing packaging inventory, running the packing line, and ensuring every customer order leaves the warehouse correctly. On Saturdays and Sundays you will be the on-site point of leadership, supervising a team of pickers and packers. You are hands-on, leading by example on the warehouse and production floor. Responsibilities Order Fulfilment & Accuracy • Own the packing line across Saturday and Sunday dispatch days, ensuring all customer orders are picked, verified, and packed to standard., • Maintain a fulfilment failure rate of <1% — every order must be complete, correct, and cold-chain compliant before handover to DPD., • Run the four team packing line structure (Pickers, Checkers, Packers, Runners) and ensure each team is clear on their responsibilities., • Act as the on-site point of leadership for the picker/packer team on Saturdays and Sundays., • Assign roles, brief the team at the start of each shift, and manage pace throughout the day., • Continuously improve packing flows to increase throughput without additional headcount or hours., • Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in the pick-check-pack-dispatch cycle., • Propose and test layout, sequencing, or process changes that reduce time per order., • Maintain full visibility of packaging inventory: boxes, trays, sleeves, gel packs, labels, and sealing materials., • Forecast packaging requirements based on weekly order volumes and flag reorder points before stockouts occur., • Conduct mid-week stock checks (Wednesday/Thursday) and coordinate orders with suppliers., • Oversee box assembly, label printing, preparation during mid-week shifts (Wednesday–Thursday)., • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse and packing environment at all times., • Execute post-packing close-down procedures: clean, reset, and prepare the space for the next cycle., • Report any incidents, equipment issues, or near-misses via the kitchen incident reporting process. Requirements • Experience in operations, fulfilment, or food production, ideally in a fast-paced environment with fast scaling volumes., • Proven ability to supervise or coordinate a small team under time pressure., • Strong attention to detail, • Comfortable with physical work: standing, lifting boxes, and working in cold-room environments., • Able to work Wednesday through Sunday, including both weekend days., • Basic proficiency with inventory tracking and order management systems Nice to Have • Experience in meal prep, food subscription, or D2C fulfilment., • Familiarity with DPD or similar parcel carrier dispatch processes., • A process-improvement mindset, you default to asking “how can this be faster/better?”, • Food safety certification (Level 2 or above).
